The best gourmet coffee in Costa Rica... the entrance fee is a little pricey (June 2016 I paid $22 per person, US dollars, I charged it on my Visa), but you get a fun tour of the plantation and it is very educational too. You get to sample the coffee throughout the tour, take pictures and participate if you want... More

The guides at Britt are hilarious and fun. They speak Spanish and English throughout as they walk you through a small coffee plantation and show you each step of the process. The cafe is a nice place to relax, though if you linger too long you may be trapped by the rain. Pro tip: they ask for volunteers throughout the... More

The tour was very funny and informative. The tandem tour guides had a great banter that kept the tour moving and interesting and the tour was also very interactive, inviting audience participation and opportunity to partake in a charming coffee tasting set up like a cooking show. The best experience however came after the tour. I left my camera on... More

From our hotel, this visit was scheduled to last about 3 hours. That was short enough to allow us other activities on July 6, 2016, the day we chose for this trip. My son and I did not know much about coffee growing process, roasting and most of all, how to select the right coffee we regularly buy. We had... More

Where to begin! I've been on tours all over the world; chocolate factories, breweries, wineries, etc. But this was the best tour I've ever been on. They are well organized, welcoming, and not only do a great job of teaching you about coffee, but the guides have a wonderful sense of humor that keeps the interest of all ages. The... More

This is an interesting thing to do... All the guide books say take a coffee tour and this one is close to town, easy to get to by taxi, they speak English and you can book online. IT's a little bit expensive- prices are oriented to tourists of course. Our guides, a couple, were hilarious. They walked us through the... More

We learned so much about coffee (history, geography & science) and really enjoyed the comical presentation from Luis and Tino - from the rehearsed lines to the ad lib! Don't just plan to stop by their store for great coffee and chocolates; take the tour!

This attraction (interestingly, to me) goes to great lengths to make itself kid-friendly (what kid drinks coffee??), and the demeanor of the guides is very over-the-top and cheesy. That said, I actually did learn a lot on the tour, and got to try some excellent coffees, see the growing process, and they took my family aside for the "coffee lovers'... More

Trip was ok. Breakfast that was provided wasn't that good. Coffee wasn't as good as I would have expected. I did learn more about coffee.

Enjoyed our time with Gilligan 1 and Gilligan 2 (you'll see). They were very informative and have changed my world of coffee. No more Starbucks or even coffee machines for me! Going old school on my coffee now. Wow, what a difference. If you have a big group, email Carolina and she can arrange a private tour at a group... More
