This was a fun boat trip. You'll get taken out to the catamaran, a chance to get some drinks, sail out to a location to stop and swim and snorkel. Then lunch and more drinks and a cruise back to port at sunset. One thing I would recommend is not going to a different location. We had booked a trip out of Coco, but there was a problem with the boat. The tour group was super nice. They tried to rebook us for later in the week but since we didn't have another day, they offered to bus us down to Tamarindo for no cost, which I thought was super nice. However the drive took almost 2 hours with picking up other passengers and traffic and then over an hour back. The boat trip would have been more enjoyable without the. Us ride, so I would recommend just cancelling and going to the beach instead. Still a fun trip if you are going out of your intended port.

We opted for the private catamaran and it was probably the best decision I’ve ever made (save for marrying my husband). The captain and crew were so awesome (Captain Rudy, John, Orlando, Julio). This was our third time booking a catamaran with Marlin Del Rey, so we already knew the food they serve on board would be delicious. We were a travel group of 9 adults, and everyone agreed that this was an experience we’ll never forget. Thank you again for making memories with us that we’ll cherish always!

Crew was great, food was great, amazing weather. Not much to see snorkeling, they said it was due to red tide. The beach was beautiful!!

An enjoyable way to spend a beautiful afternoon in Tamarindo. Had a bit of difficulty finding our boat boarding from among several that boarded from the same place but found the guy with the right T-shirt without too much trouble. Catamaran was large and beautiful. Crew was helpful and friendly. Sailed for a full 4+ hours that included a nice bbq chicken lunch with chips and rice, etc. Drinks were flowing freely, if a bit weak. Swim when we anchored was fun, including jumping off the deck. Noodles were plentiful if you wanted them as were life jackets. Not much to see if you snorkeled but nice swim to the beach if that's what you wanted to do (a bit long if you're not a strong swimmer). Overall, a nice experience that we will do again when we go up the coast next week to Coco - where a sister ship runs a similar afternoon trip.
