We did most of our shopping for fresh fruit and vegetable here. Bought home made cheese, almond butter, honey, bread, baked goods, natural sunscreen, lip gloss, hand creams, jewelry, leather goods. The variety is endless.

The market had lots of different items from water purifiers to spices, soaps, special teas, jewelry baked goods, cheeses, wines. It was a bit disappointing in that is was almost all expats doing the selling. Very few Costa Ricans there. Felt like you were supporting...More

We attended this market for the first tie this year. Not a huge market but a big selection of prepared foods, fresh fruit, juices, art work, jewellery. This is located in the heart of the town.

Honestly, I am not sure. I always used colones. When in Costa Rica I typically just get colones from the ATM. For me that's where I get the best exchange rate.

Saturday mornings. I think it opens at 8:30am. And it is located down the dirt road behind Noguis Restaurant in the roundabout.
