Nice small market.
Jul 2021 • Family
A small nice local market with local organic food, handicrafts and things you don’t really need.
But it’s nice to stroll over this market since here is not so much to do.

Lovely Local Experience - Great Empanadas and Fruit!
Feb 2020
This farmers market far exceeded our expectation! It was a great opportunity to chat with and get to know the locals of Tamarindo. The fruit stands had very reasonable prices - far more reasonable than the grocery stores. They allow you to try the fruits before buying, as well. Our favorite part of the farmers market, however, was the empanada stand. A wonderful family sells absolutely delicious empanadas... we even stopped by again later in the day for more!

I would highly recommend anyone stop by the farmers market.. go out and support the locals!

This is a great way to spend your Saturday morning/afternoon! A great variety of local vendors with everything from fresh produce, local coffee, chocolate, honey, jewelry and so much more!! My only regret is that I couldn’t buy more fresh produce and bring it back home with me!

The Saturday feria behind the schoolyard has something for everyone. Great fresh produce, handmade jewelry and edibles, goat yogurt, clothing -- just what you'd expect. It's also a great place to talk with friendly ex-pats.

The best food worth it....great for people watching

This is the place where you get the best deals on local produce and yes you can bargain. In fact they even give away free produce at the end of the day. I use to have so little money I would go around noon and ask veggie vendors if they have any food they want to give away. It was fun. Gotta say those people drive 2-3-4 hours just to come to sell stuffi in Tamarindo! We are lucky to have them...lets all go and support them and buy lots of stuff from our locals. Highly reccomend!

Fresh fruit & fish being sold. Still quite a lot of tourist things to see and some of the same people that sell at the Thursday night market. Easy to walk around in 30 minutes or so. The two guys selling ice creams were a main attractions amazing to watch
