We had a group of 5 that did three days of activities with Don Grant. On the first day we did the Rincon de la Vieja canyon tour. We loved the whole day particularly the zip lines and kayaking through the beautiful canyon. On the second day Don gave us a group surfing lesson and then in the afternoon we took the catamaran tour. Surfing was so much fun and Don is the best instructor. I would also highly recommend the sunset catamaran tour as the food and drinks are great and the sunset is beautiful. The third day we went deep sea fishing which was also fun. We caught several smaller blackfin tuna which the crew filleted for us. We didn't catch any big fish but neither did any of the other boats that were out that day and the trip was still fun. I don't typically write reviews but felt compelled to write one for Don because he really is as personable and fun as all of the reviewers say. He has the true Pura Vida spirit and I highly recommend him for your trip!

We were in Tamarindo, Costa Rica last week, and what a week we had! Don was the best!! He started helping us plan a fantastic trip before we ever stepped foot off the plane. He helped us find an awesome condo for the week, gave recommendations for great restaurants with great sunset views and awesome food (we made reservations in advance so we were all set) . We booked all our excursions with Don. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the country, the culture, the wildlife and he knows how to have fun!! He is a great story teller and has one of the best most genuine laughs, you can't help but laugh with him! He arranged for our transportation to and from the airport. He took us on the Volcano tour where we zip lined, hiked to a waterfall, had a mudbath and bathed in hot springs. Another day we rode ATVs through the towns, the mountains and to the best beaches. We got to see monkeys and Toucans up close! He takes your pictures so you can just enjoy the experience, tells you what things to wear/bring so you are comfortable, basically takes care of anything you need. In between the excursions we got plenty of time to enjoy the beaches and chill out. It was perfect week with a perfect mix of activity and relaxation. We definitely Got Lost In Costa Rica and had amazing adventure thanks to Don!

Don was truly fantastic! We were in Costa Rica for 1 week and made every effort to get the most out of it. Don helped us find the best Condo with a wrap around balcony and unobstructed view of the ocean. He arranged our pick up and drop off at the airport. And customized each trip as best he could.
The first day we hiked a volcano, zip lined, swam in a waterfall, and bathed in a volcanic mud bath.
Other days we would go out on a sunset cruise, learn to surf, or just relax.
Don even drove us to a myriad of different beaches and towns so we could enjoy the local atmosphere all around Guanacaste.
The entire time, Don treated us like Familia. You can tell he takes family very seriously. On top of being a very welcoming and entertaining man, Don is very perceptive. He puts every effort toward including everyone and catering to everyones needs.
I would recommend Don to anyone, and I would use him again.
On a side note,
I know you may be tempted to cram a lot into your trip. But some of the best days were the ones where we stopped worrying about time and schedules. Don was fantastic at making everything flow smoothly without rushing. If you rush and stress you miss all the little things that make Costa Rica and life enjoyable.

Don was amazing!! Highly recommend. We were a group of 8 (4 adults and 4 small children). From the ride (which was 1.5 hours) to the activities and beyond, Don & staff were superb. He helped watched our smallest child so everyone could zip line (that was above and beyond), he gave us recommendations and followed us throughout the tour to ensure we knew where to go, who to connect with and what was best for optimizing a good time. We would absolutely book again.
**one thing to note, I personally did not like the slide (it was a bit aggressive), but my husband and son LOVED it!!**

Don is simply the best. He is passionate about his family, his business and your trip. He is a true student of his profession and has all the local knowledge, contacts and experience to maximize your activities while in Costa Rica. We surfed, toured the beaches and jungles on ATVs and finished with a sunset cruise on the last day! Each activity was my favorite for different reasons. Don made everything smooth and easy which allowed us to escape and unplug completely. Don’t look anywhere else- Don is the only option!!!

My family of 4 visited Tamarindo in June-July 2022 and Don surpassed our expectations. Honestly, we had what we thought would be the most amazing experience when we first visited 4 years ago but Don goes above and beyond to personalize your vacation's greatest desire. The Rincon combo was a fabulous way to spend the day. Don picked us up at our rental home in Hacienda Pinilla and drove us out to the volcano tour which included horsebackriding to several zip lines, hot springs, waterfall, and a thrilling water slide. Lunch was included here and traditional tasty local cuisine. Mid-week, Don took us all out on an ATV tour to Playa Conchal; my teens especially loved driving through the water and getting dirty. Our last tour was deep sea fishing with the Captain and owner of Restaurant Pleamar. My oldest son was lucky enough to reel in a sailfish! After a few hours on the water we arrived at the restaurant and were served a delicious casada meal and very refreshing drinks. Don is a vibrant personality and knowlegeable of the area. He is well connected with the persons who book these tours and we felt like we were with family. As a bonus, Don is a licensed realtor so hopefully someday we will call Costa Rica our part-time home.

I like to adventure out in a lot of places that I visit. That being said, a guide is a pretty important tool when looking for fun, adventure and information. I came across "Get lost in Costa Rica" through the agent that manages the condo we rented. We booked him for 4 adventures and every one of them was over and above what we thought it would be. Don the owner/operator was extremely fluent in english, knows the hot spots and seems to have a good reputation with the tour operators. Being from Canada and not knowing a lot of spanish is was so nice to have a guide that we could talk to and learn so much about the country. If you are looking for a great experience, look no further. This company should be the blue print to what a tour company should be. Reliable, Safe, Knowledgable and stress free. Thanks for making our vacation epic Don.

Don was one of the most entertaining, energetic and all around fun tour guides we have ever used. His knowledge of Costa Rica, recommendations, guidance and service were second to none. He went out of his way to make our experience enjoyable. I would recommend him to anyone visiting the area.

One of the best days of our trip. There were 13 of us, ranging in age from 13 - 80. Don had a comfortable van that held all of us. We did it all, zipline, water slide, great lunch, mud treatment and hot springs. Don is an outstanding guide, very funny and engaging. He was recommended by a friend that had been on his tour, and I will also recommend him to anyway traveling to the area. You won't be disappointed.

Don was our "go to" last week in Costa Rica!
He took us on a full day jungle tour, including zip lining, a jump and swim in the river, horseback riding and hot springs/mud bath. Don and his son also taught our girls how to surf - they are so experienced, patient and encouraging. The girls loved it!
He also arranged for our Catamaran sail and our airport transport to/from LIR.
Don is an energetic, experienced guide who wants to make your Costa Rican experience special. I highly recommend you reach out to him if you are visiting Tamarindo!!

You can do the safari boat trip ! how many people are traveling with you? you can also do the combo Tours normally we hire a nanny so the nanny can take care the baby while you do the activities and Annie were join us on the Taurus so I need to activity and 90 can take care of the baby and then you see the baby after each activity
