Visit the Tenorio Volcano National Park to see a unique natural phenomenon at the site where two rivers merge and create vibrant turquoise waters. The tour also takes you to an off-the-beaten-path waterfall and a wildlife sanctuary where you can see sloths and other native wildlife. Plus, along the way your guide shares information about the region and helps you spot easy-to-miss wildlife.

Nice waves... not too big but not too small to body boarding and easy surfing. Water isn’t clear and sand is kind of dark but the water is warm and there was a lot of space to spread out.

Beautiful waves and perfect weather. Hustlers on the beach were not intrusive and very cordial. Windy but beautiful. 🇨🇷❤️☹️

Tamarindo is an amazing community! It is a foodie’s paradise. The beaches are beautiful and the town is clean and full of great shops. This is easily one on the best places I have ever visited. It is safe, clean, fun and filled with options and activities for people of all ages. We took surfing lessons, went deep sea fishing, zip lining, had amazing meals and enjoyed every minute we were there. We will definitely return!

This beach is walking distance from our lovely boutique hotel, Jardin del Eden. As beaches go, it was too touristy for us (we had a car and went to some other much better local ones). There is a lot of sand so places to sit; lots of people too. Seemed great for surfers (which we are not) and very windy. There are lots of bars and restaurants on this beach.

We loved walking on the beach and seeing the shells. You can walk out into the water quite a ways. The waves were not overwhelming. But in some places there were large rocks in the water that could not be seen.
