The crew was amazing. We flew in from Arenal to Tamarindo, and Steve picked us up from the airport, and drove us to the boat. I had also forgot my glasses at the hotel, and Steve let me borrow pair of his for the trip. They were very helpful, and explained everything to us in detail. My friends and I had never been fishing before, and the crew explained to us how to reel in the fish, correctly, when they were on the line. We caught 9 Mahi Mahi in about 4 hours. It was amazing, and I would highly recommend to book through Go Fish Costa Rica if you're planning a fishing trip in Costa Rica

The fact that you all had never been fishing before, you flew across the country to do it, we had to make sure that we tried our best to get you onto the fish and am so glad we did and the fish cooperated that day. The BEST company to fish with and more.

We purchased this as a package with Ducks Unlimited because we trusted DU to provide a safe and positive environment for my husband's 50th birthday bucket list trip considering it was overseas. We could not have been happier! Steve and Liisa, the owners of Go Fish Costa Rica are top notch. They accommodated our requests when our group size grew for both our lodging and size of fishing vessel. Our Captain and first mate were bilingual and never stopped working to provide my husband with his dream catch, a striped Marlin even when the conditions were not the best. They were fun yet always getting the job done. They detoured so we could see humpback whales and at the end of the day we returned to the harbor in a huge pod of dolphins that played in the wake and bow of the boat. The experience was beautiful. We stayed extra days and Liisa set us up with all the extra activities we could ask for with people and companies they know personally that also included our transportation. We zip lined through the mountains on a local family's property of 600 acres and 9 zip lines. Our tour guides were fun and interactive. The next day we did the 4 hour ATV trip that Liisa recommended as her favorite with our bilingual guide Janier. This was the BEST way to see all the area had to offer. He took us through towns, beaches, by beautiful homes, through a small river, and up into the mountains. He even took us to a local lunch place right on the beach. He was our guide for horseback riding the next day and took us to a local's beach earlier in the morning so we could run and play for a couple hours with the beach practically to ourselves. When we mentioned off handedly that we would love to see a Costa Rican waterfall he arranged with Liisa to take us into the mountains for a glorious hike that ended up at a huge mineral spring waterfall that is too exquisite to even describe. The blue of the water within the rocks was that of movies or novels. When we told Janier we would like actual local food he set us up that day with breakfast and lunch at his local favorites in the nearby towns. I just can't say enough of how wonderful our trip was. Liisa and Steve met us each morning before we embarked on each new adventure and followed up by email/text message each evening to make sure we were happy with our experience. There is a reason DU uses their company. We will be back! We have other species of fish to catch and waterfalls to chase. Thank you Steve and Liisa with Go Fish Costa Rica!!!!!

Take the Trip!

We are living here in Costa Rica during the pandemic and we were desperate for a day out on the water. We really needed to feel safe, so after some careful research, we went with Go Fish, a company we'd used before. They took all precautions, going above and beyond in this difficult time to make everyone in my family feel comfortable.
It was awesome- just what we needed! The adults enjoyed catching some fish, the kids really enjoyed seeing some dolphins, and we all enjoyed some family snorkel time with a gorgeous Costa Rican sunset.
I'm a travel writer with a lot of experience, and I highly recommend the personalized touch of Steve and Liisa. You won't be sorry, you'll just regret not going sooner.

Amazing Experience

Unbelievable experience I know our 8 year old will never forget! Could not recommend Go Fishing more. From reasonable transportation (we saw other companies charging almost double what Go Fishing charged), easy and on time pickup, our crew Daniel and Carlos were amazing. We caught a variety of fish and my 8 year old didn’t want our trip to end!

Every piece of the process and communication was perfect.

When we are back in Costa Rica we will be planning out next fishing trip with Go Fishing!

What an amazing experience!! First we booked a sport fishing trip and then an ATV excursion. Liisa and Steve took care of everything, right from arranging transportation to and from the excursions to checking in during and after each adventure!
The charter was so much fun! The captain and crew were professional, knowledgeable and they did everything they could to make sure we hooked into fish and had a great time.
The ATV experience was awesome! Our guide took us to different beaches and through some great trails. He shared interesting facts about the area and made us feel safe and well taken care of the entire time.

If your looking for some adventure book with Go Fish Costa Rica! You won’t be disappointed!

Best Charter Ever - Hands Down!

After reading the reviews we chose Gofishcr for a charter which is run by Lisa and Steve. Connected with Steve and explained we had two 20 year old young ladies who wanted to bottom fish, as our last charter in Maui was “boring”. Steve convinced us that the bottom bite was “hit and miss” and instead strongly recommended an offshore trip. We booked 3/4 day and was allowed to increase to a full day if we wanted while on the water. Capt. Michael and crew were excellent. Hour cruise to the fishing ground, 20 minutes trolling, hit on a mahi, unhooked. 15 minutes later, reel screaming - 40 minute fight - landed and released 200# Blue Marlin. Later another Mahi hook and landed. Got in a school of yellowfin, both girls were hooked-up at the same time. Trolling in, another mahi landed. Could not have had a better time, drinks were plenty and cold and lunch on the water was fantastic. If you plan to fish Tamarindo, call/email Lisa and Steve and listen to their advice!!!

To bad your shoulder was acting up because it looked like you would have had a great time hauling in all these fish but the girls did an amazing job out there, I always say that the Ladies Rock. Once in a lifetime experience

It took some work to talk my wife into going on this excursion with the 6 of us (2 teens and 2 twin 7-year olds, but it was so worth it. Steve was so responsive and worked so hard to make sure we were set up with the best boat and crew for our specific family's needs. Steve got on the phone with us on a couple separate occasions to patiently answer all of our questions and help us feel comfortable with the trip.

We all loved our Captain and crew and they worked so hard to ensure we had a great time. Captain Michael even customized the excursion in order to help our twins get off to a strong start. We all had an awesome time and are so grateful to Steve, Liisa and the entire Go Fish Costa Rica team. Should we make our way back, we will definitely be booking with Go Fish Costa Rica!! Couldn't be happier!!

Book a Go Fish charter with confidence you're getting the best

Steve & Liisa at Go Fish are incredibly responsive, professional and just plain nice. They accommodated our group of 11 on excellent boats piloted by highly capable captains. They provided lunch, water and beer. We hooked up with Mahi, tuna and black marlin. As an American visiting Costa Rica for the first time, Go Fish made it easy to book with confidence that we would get what we paid for. Will use again.

Me and my girlfriend booked a 3/4 day charter with Go Fish Costa Rica and could not have been happier we did. Steve made booking the charter very easy and smooth. He and his wife were very helpful and made sure to fit us with the best captain based on what we wanted to catch. Captain Willy was one of the best charter captains that i have had the pleasure of fishing with. He was very knowledgeable about where the fish were and very patient. I would definitely recommend fishing with Go Fish Costa Rica for an unforgettable experience in Tamarindo!

GoFish CR is awesome. Steve and Liisa are so easy to work with and very responsive and informative. My wife and I did a fishing trip, surfing, and catamaran tour that GoFish coordinated. They listened to what my wife and I wanted to do and helped us pick the right fishing boat and work out a great schedule of activities during our trip. The fishing was a great time and ended up catching a beautiful sailfish, surfing was a ton of fun (and a beating by the waves), and the catamaran was a great time....Would highly recommend giving GoFish CR a shout if planning to visit Tamarindo. Great people to work with and communication was top notch.
