This was my second trip to Costa Rica and the best one yet.
The coaching and environment provided by Rafa and the Bfit Retreat team accelerated my skills as a surfer, making me fall in love with the sport again and again.
I received the immediate instruction in the water on how to correct and improve and saw immediate results (when I listened)
Beyond the surf, Rafa and his team connected me with fellow travelers and helped me create a bespoke trip through Costa Rica.
I would highly recommend taking a BFit Retreat if you are looking to experience Costa Rica in a new way and improve your surfing.

Rafa took care of literally EVERYTHING! He made our trip totally stress free. He listened to what we wanted and totally came through. We are advanced surfers and we were able to get quality coaching complete with video analysis. Rafa made sure we scored the best waves in the best spots and I left feeling like I became a better surfer. He also provided alternative activities for when we needed a surf break! Highly recommend!

Rafa and his team are amazing people. Rafa took care of us from the time we landed to the time we were dropped off at the airport. He managed our hotels, transportation, activities, and most importantly at very affordable prices. The activities we booked with him were cheaper then the vendors direct websites.
He personally gave us surfing lessons, I felt very safe leaving my kids under his supervision during the surfing lessons.

Rafa and his team were absolutely amazing! He organized at trip to Guachipelin for horseback riding, zip lines and tubing, as well as, surf lessons and a sunset catamaran for us. He also handled the transport to and from the airport. This guy can do it all! Diego was a great driver and shared info about the countryside as he shuttled us to various activities. We will definitely reach out to Rafa when we are back. Pura Vida!

My two boys ( 10/14) and my husband had a surfing lesson with Rafa and Fofo and they had a blast! They were the best instructors- very friendly engaging, knowledgeable and fun. All my boys were able to get up on their boards and surf within one lesson! The lesson was fantastic.
My boys gave it a rating of 10/10. They loved it.
Rafa was great to communicate with - he had it all organized and ready and was very easy to work with- he would make anything work for your family.
I would highly recommend Rafa and his team and if we are back in Tamarindo we will surely use Rafa and his team again. Rafa was also able to help us with some other questions and assist when we needed to get around.

The whole experience from start to finish with Rafa was wonderful! We can’t recommend him and his instructors enough. We were all first timers and we all managed to say we have now surfed 😉 , the group of 4 kids and 4 adults. They were great with all of us and so helpful out on the water for the full lesson. We had 4 instructors for our group of 8 so we all got a lot of attention and great tips and advice. Ended the lesson with Rafa handing out fresh chilled coconuts for us to enjoy coconut water which was delicious and he even has someone take photos during the lesson which he will email to you which is a very nice touch. If we ever return and need another lesson, we know who to call! Don’t hesitate to use him and his company !

Rafa was a great instructor but also excellent at communicating leading up to our private surfing lessons. I am not a great swimmer and was quite nervous and he was so patient with me. He made me feel safe the entire time I was in the water with him. He also had a professional photographer taking photos of us! Definitely choose BFit for the simple fact that he’s local and knowledgeable and such an expert at surfing! We can’t wait to come back. And when finished, he shared his favorite restaurants and local must sees. Such a great experience!

It was my first surf lesson and I had a really good time with a professional (Rafa). He explained very well the basics in order to have already fun with the first lesson.

We had a great time learning to surf here! The instructors were nice, professional and very helpful. We had such a good time that we booked another surf lesson for the following day. We’ve never surfed before and this was a great first introduction and we were able to catch several waves! Would absolutely recommend during your stay in Tamarindo!
