You’re right that in Samara high tide is better than low tide for surfing, however lessons can begin an hour or two before or after high tide and still provide good waves for beginner surfers! High tide is predictable and changes by about an hour each day, so there will be options that will not conflict with unpredictable afternoon showers during your stay. It’s also good to note that while weather apps often predict daily afternoon showers during rainy season, July is traditionally more dry than other months of the wet season and daily rain is not typical (though, like you said, it is unpredictable especially this far out). That said, we don’t think you’ve made the error of the century, by any means, and you should have decent options for surfing while you’re here! We hope this information helps!
