Our tour with Horsejungle was the highlight of our week in Costa Rica. We did a full day horse riding tour that included three beaches. Melissa was great to communicate with and set up the private tour for the two of us with just a day’s notice. She sent a pin of the location and we were able to get there with no problem using Waze. Our tour guide was Sandra and she was just awesome. She helped us feel comfortable with the horses since one of us had just a little riding experience and the other one hadn’t been riding in years. It was clear that she loves animals, cares about the horses, and loves the region that we were in. She pointed out different animals and plants along our route. We got lucky and saw several large groups of howler monkeys. Sandra did a wonderful job of balancing checking in to see if we were comfortable and allowing us to handle the horses.
The full day tour included three different beaches with a long stop at one of the beaches for a tasty lunch, a swim in the water, and a break for the horses. We took the horses into the water to cool off. We had a funny moment as one of the horses decided to lay down in the sand and roll around. The horses we were riding clearly knew the area and seemed to enjoy the beaches. They broke into canters on the beach without prompting and we loved letting them run along the water. Overall, the whole experience was an absolute blast. We highly recommend it as a great way to see the natural wonders of the region and also learn about them from a knowledgeable guide. You get to see so much more than would be possible just on foot or from a car.

My family of 5 (3 college kids and parents) enjoyed this ride. We did the "White Sand Beach Tour". 3 of us were experienced riders and 2 were not. Our guide was "Colleen" and she did a good job of pointing out wildlife (monkeys, birds, alligators) and making the ride suitable for all level riders. I'm a veterinarian, and I thought the horses were in good condition. The beach ride was a little short, but to be fair we were there at high tide and the beach was narrow (so schedule this ride at low tide) If I had any complaint it would be that a good portion of the ride was along roads - but that was necessary to get to the beach, I guess. They do have saddle bags for you to put camaras, water bottles, etc in.

We are delighted that you all had a great time and learned a lot about wildlife.
I gave you a choice between a morning or afternoon departure and you asked me for the afternoon.
The tide was coming in. But we were able to enjoy this beautiful beach where we even galloped for everyone's pleasure!
For information, we pass aproximatly 30 minutes at the beach and we made a break to get ouf, take a picture and eat a snack.
Barigona beach is very beautiful in all circumstances :)

During my vacation in Costa Rica I went to Samara where I took the opportunity to do 2 days of horseback riding.
Horses jungle is a small family company run by a passionate Frenchie. The horses are in good shape and pampered by Mélissa. We left in a small group of 5 people. The horses are very calm and the walks are very beautiful between jungle and beach. We had explanations about the fauna and flora, we observed many birds, monkeys, coati… I highly recommend horses jungle if you want to have a good time.

There are many options to do horse riding around playa Sámara, but a very few offer the quality, the fun, and the safety of Horse Jungle. Melissa, as a certified horse guide, made this moment with my 4 years old son an amazing, unforgettable experience. She is experienced, super welcoming, in love with her horses, and knowledgeable of everything that happen to the wild life around us. The only negative point of all this is that now my son want a horse in Costa Rica... definitely the place to go for horse riding !

We did a 3 hours tour to go to a local very picturesque beach. The journey was breathtaking, going through very different landscapes, and we saw monkeys, crocodiles, all kinds of birds... The guide and owner, Melissa, was super knowledgeable about the animals that we saw.
The horses seemed very well taken care of, and Melissa appears to care a great deal about their well being. She goes to great lengths to make sure they get the best care available here, and asked if we could change our booking so that the horses could get their days off as planned!
A great experience for anyone in Samara!

We did the full day tour yesterday with this company and everything exceeded our expectations! We visited multiple beaches and were able to see so many beautiful places on our ride. The jungles are absolutely beautiful. Our guide was amazing! He was so kind and told us information about the sites we were seeing while on our tour. I am typically nervous when riding horses, he was very attentive which calmed my nerves. I told them this ahead of time so they also provided me a very calm, sweet horse. We had break to swim in the ocean then a wonderful lunch at a local restaurant. We then rode to another beautiful beach and on the way back we stopped for fresh coconut water. We did visit during rainy season, they were so kind to plan a path for us so we could still see all the beautiful sites on our tour. I highly suggest using this company. We had a wonderful experience!

We booked the 4hr tour which included the jungle and 2 beaches. Our horses were so sweet and gentle. They are taken such good care of by Melissa and her team. My friend and I said that is was one of our best experiences in Costa Rica and would have done it again if we had time. The views were stunning, Melissa and Marine, were so nice and helpful. They made an effort to point out other animals and sights along the way. It is cash only just fyi. Highly recommend the Horse Jungle!!

Was an amazing tour riding horses through the jungle, river and beaches. We even saw a crocodile and got to gallop several times. Celine was a brilliant host, really friendly and welcoming, clearly loves the horses very much. We had never ridden a horse before and Celine made us very comfortable and we felt very safe. Highly recommended

Excellent customer service. The 3-hour ride allowed us to tame the horses, visit a magnificent beach, see the jungle and drink coconut water to cool off. We felt safe with the guide and felt these animals were well cared for.

Walk mostly on a road and not on trails. We were 5 people plus the guide, 2 couples and a young woman. The horses were calm except for one who seemed difficult to control especially when taking a break. He kicked the guide when he wanted to help the man down and then when we stopped for the coconut, I found myself next to him and he then kicked my horse!!! So I fell, fortunately more from fear than harm, bruises and scratches, but I was still lucky. And finally, the guide did not have the exact amount, had to do research and above all did not have any change, fortunately the other couple had some and was therefore able to help us out as well as the young woman. In short, I don't recommend it at all. I've had much more beautiful horseback rides elsewhere!

Peut on monter à deux sur un cheval? J’ai un enfant de 3 ans. L’autre de 6 ans je pense qu’il il a des poney?! Il est bon en équilibre sur un cheval, mais n’en pourait pas contrôler un cheval qu’on decide de partir Au galop . Est ce le même prix pour les enfants ?

Bonjour Krystelle. Il est tout à fait possible de partager cette expérience avec les enfants. Si 2h30 est trop long pour eux, je vous propose un tour de 1h00 entre Jungle & Rivière ou les enfants peuvent ensuite doucher les chevaux.
Nous avons des casques et des selles adaptés.
Le prix est de 35 $
Nous tenons les poneys en laisse des enfants qui sont très jeunes.

Or Barigona beach (3hours : 60$/pers) : white and amazing beach.
The 4 hours tours it's the 2 beaches ! (4heure : 80 $/pers)
Or 1 full day (130$/pers): ride your horse all day, go off the beaten track. Means, feet on the beach, inclueded.
We observe the jungle, cross a river, and walking on the sea for the every tours.
It's really beautiful !
You need to take long pant (more confortable), shoes, water.
And bring your Camera
5 years it's the minimum! Shakira and Centenario wait theim 🤠. They are so nice and quiet with the child and I can lead him. I have helmet and saddle adapted.

Il existe 2 tours classiques:
Celui de 2h30 (50$) qui nous emmène sur la plage de Buenavista de sable gris - 100% nature 🌴🐒
Et celui de 3h (60$) qui va jusqu'a la plage de Barigona de sable blanc - passage de piste obligatoire
Le tour de 4h (80$) pour les plus aguerris nous fait decouvrir les 2 plages : Buenavista et Barigona
Nous faisons aussi des balades journées (130$) et un programme randonnée sur 2jours et demi 😉
Nous partons marcher dans des fincas privés dans la jungle ou nous avons la chance de pouvoir observer les animaux. On traverse des rivières et allons marcher sur la plage.
Les chevaux sont vraiment gentils et docile !

Depend the season : during the green season we prefer start during the morning to avoid rain (May to december)
During the dry season it's better during the afternoon because there is more shade (December to may)
