We always enjoy going to the farmers' market in our hometown, so it was fun to see one in another country. The freshly baked focaccia bread was good, and I highly recommend the Bavarian cream pastry. There were several restaurants around the market. We tried the Italian wrap at the sandwich shop, which was delicious. It was fun to see so many different nationalities there. If you know French, it will come in handy.

There is a farmers market on Tuesday mornings with the most beautiful fruits and vegetables. Additionally there are people with breads and other homemade items that are excellent. In addition, Friday afternoons they have the traditional market with many excellent choices in breads and other items. These markets should not be missed. The store carries many items you would not expect to see here in Costa Rica. The owners and help are excellent and the food and coffee we have had in the cafe have been excellent! The owners also sell local artwork and hosted an art fair that we attended. Bring your own bags as you will want to leave with many items! This is a place you should not miss if you are in Samara!!

The market was lovely however when we got back to the car we had been robbed - my binoculars, coat, hiking shoes, microfibre towels and chargers. Why does the town put up with this? Not cool.

Great market and people. Located center of town and across from a spectacular beach. Beautiful organic fruits and veggies. There is a restaurant that serves heavenly food and thirst quenching drinks. We'll be back!

Unfortunately, there's not much offered in the off season. We stopped by mid September, a couple weeks into the off season and there were only two vendors in the actual Farmers Market so not much to see or buy. There were a few vendors on the street near the market too so there was still some shopping available outside the regular businesses.

There are also the regular businesses that surrounds the market to still visit; Samara Organic Mercado & Cafe, a local spa and beauty salon, massage studio, Fabrique Boutique, tourism office, bike rentals, local artists gallery, Guaitil Ceramics, Falafel Cafe, ice cream shop and more.

Even though there was only two vendors we had a good time exploring the permanent businesses there. We could see the potential during the main tourist season and imagine what it's like from previous reviews. If we ever go back to Samara we'll be sure to stop again.

Samara Organics Farmer's Market is a great place to pick up all your organic and fresh baked goods. Not only do they carry a wide asst of cheeses but all kinds of goodies made on the spot. There salads are beautiful as well as well as tasty. You will find you will leave with more than you can carry. I think they also deliver. If they don't have and item, just ask and they will try to get it for you. Organic chocolate, yum. Bring a tote, you're going to need it!
