Great way to learn about local botany, birds and wildlife. Guide Bernie was very knowledgeable and made sure all abilities of hikers were helped. Beautiful views of Playa Samara from the summit. Worth the money if you have 4 hours. Best to do early am (630) on a hot day.

Very knowledgeable guide however I thought the group was too large which made it difficult to have an opportunity to view through guides telescope as large group taking turns to view risked missing whatever was spotted.

We had a great morning hike with Berny, learned a lot about the trees and plants in the tropical dry forest. Also learned some tips to survive if ever lost in the jungle. Berny was very personable and his English was great! He had a great eye for spotting birds, we also saw lots of Howler monkeys. It's a good... More

I read about this hike on Trip Advisor and we also loved this experience. My name is Bernie so I enjoyed having Berny as our guide. Of course, Berny was amazing. He was also excellent at the explaining the many different plants in this ecosystem, a tropical dry forest. This private reserve was once a cattle farm and mango orchard... More

The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and this is what made the trip especially rewarding. Alex was truly in tune with the surroundings. The hike was a great workout.

we were not expecting a lot of meaningful wildlife watching or hiking while at the beach, so this guided hike surpassed our expectations. our guide Berny was a fellow birder and nature lover, and made this part of our trip one of the most memorable. highly recommended for anyone interested in local plant and wildlife. view at the top is...
