I spent a week at Intercultura (Samara Language School). When I embarked on my journey to Samara many people asked how much Spanish did I expect to learn in one week. Between the quality lessons, company of other students, and a home stay with a Tico family, I left with the ability for basic communications and a strong foundation to... More

This is the best language school I ever stayed at. The teachers are highly skilled and motivated. The study materials are up to date, fun and interactive. The classes are very intense but you learn a lot. Expect to improve your Spanish significantly in just days. The school building is tidy, clean and cool. It has a private garden practically... More

My 14 year old daughter and I spent two wonderful weeks at Intercultura in Samara, studying Spanish and learning to surf. The facilities at the school were good and the Spanish instructors were patient and engaging. There were small classes with people of comparable ability, with a good mix of grammar and conversation. Tours arranged by the school were well... More

I spent a week at this campus learning Spanish. I would like to thank Laura, the Director of the school, and of her administrative staff, and especially Jeanette, my Spanish instructor. It was an excellent experience that I will never forget. Julie from Wisconsin

I loved the experience. It was the best combination of learning spanish and being on the beach. I also loved to use the homestay option.

My wife and I spent a pleasant week in Samara learning Spanish and enjoying the laid back llife in Costa Rica. The classes were well run with small classes tailored to one's level of comprehension. Meeting like minded people from around the world is also part of the experience. Highly recommended.

It was amazing how much I learned in such a short amount of time. The school is beautiful, and located in a near perfect location. Immersion is definitely the way to go if you want to learn anything, and this is a great place to do it. The staff is awesome, the teachers and friendly and great at teaching solely... More

This was my second time to do a Spanish immersion in Costa Rica and it was by far the best. I only have to weeks a year to study so I need to make the most of it! This school is extremely well run and the staff is amazing. They use games, music etc in class that really facilitate learning.... More

I was here for 3 weeks and my Spanish speaking really improved. The first two weeks I was lucky enough to be in a class with just one other student. The third week there were five in the class, all younger than me and working on their 3rd or 4th language. The teachers are very helpful and speak only Spanish.... More

As chaperones for a high school tour to Costa Rica, we took a group of 20 students to Intercultura for a day long Spanish lesson. Unfortunately, as we were only in Samara for a few days, the students weren't super stoked to be spending the day learning Spanish so we only stayed for 1/2 the day. Had I been by... More
