I recommend this beach only if u want to surf or learn how to surf in a less busy area. Is really quiet. I have been to tamarindo and i loved it more than Samara.

This is a long beach with good sand, good surf. There are a number of bars and restaurants coming off the beach. We didn't find the beach at all crowded. Good for sun bathing, swimming and people watching.

It isn't really a party town. More family oriented with primarily restaurants, not pubs so much.

We used Samara Adventure Co for a dolphin/snorkelling tour. It was excellent. The Samara Info Center has many more activities to do in and around Samara. Enjoy!

We just got back 2 weeks ago. Didn't see any dog poop. The beach is amazingly clean.
