Look no further, Mardigi is what you want!! We booked Mardigi tours for our Costa Rica trip. We visited the country for a wedding and there were 20 in our party. I researched several companies and felt most comfortable with Mardigi. From the beginning I worked with Diana to coordinate our excursions. Diana was responsive, friendly and attentive. She provided the best customer service and went above and beyond to put together a flawless itinerary for our group. Then there was Chris. We personally asked for Chris to be our guide. He met us at our hotel with a huge smile and embraced us as his family. Chris is extremely knowledgeable about Costa Rican culture, wildlife, the community, the environment, the history of the country. His pride for his country was infectious and made me fall in love with the place he calls home. We booked the Buena Vista Tour, ATV, and Catamaran sunset cruise. The Buena Vista tour was incredible. They define the level of difficulty as medium, there are lots of hills and some rugged terrain but you truly get to see the beauty of the country from a high elevation. The zip lines were incredible. I was a little scared but the tour guides welcomed me and offered to ride with me. I needed that! The tour provided a delicious lunch and opportunity to immerse in Costa Rica culture by showing us how sugar cane is processed and we got to try authentic cheese and coffee. We went horseback riding through the hills. Chris rode by my side when you saw my nervousness. This allowed me to relax and enjoy the nature. We ended our day a the hot springs with mud bath and dip in the springs. Chris greeted us with Pina Colados and even served as our photographer. The next day, Chris was there bright and early with 14 ATVs and escorted us through the hillside, into the country where we got to ride through some remote communities and then to the town square. We were greeted by a woman selling coconut water for $1. She pulled out her machete, opened the fresh coconut and dropped a straw in the opening. We spoke to locals and walked around the Central Park. It was a great way to immerse in the culture. Later that afternoon, Chris picked us up for the sunset cruise. We drove to Cocoa Beach and boarded a beautiful catamaran. We sailed for an hour and docked for snorkeling and lunch. Again, everything was perfect. I am afraid and cautious of everything. Bugs, heights, horses, strange food, speed, big ATV’s, you name it I am probably going to be scared of it. The tours were truly authentic, at times they were challenging both mentally and physically. But when you’re done you feel incredibly proud for pushing through. I highly recommend booking with Mardigi and ask for Chris!!!!

We did 2 tours with Chris, one of Mardigi very experienced and knowledgable guides. First one was a full day cloudforest tour and the second a combination of coffee plantage, waterfall and sloth tour and both of them were FANTASTIC! Chris is extremely knowledgable about the wildlife and flora of Costa Rica. We saw large number of different birds, frogs, sloths, bats and also visited a butterfly habitat, watching them hatch. Chris is super friendly, speaks perfect english and a little German and makes sure you are comfortable at all times. He brings a massiv Swarowski bird watching telescope and finds birds even far away from your path. We will be back next year and this time bring the entire family for these tours!

My girlfriend and I booked a tour to Rincon de la Vieja with a side trip to a waterfall and volcanic hot springs. The cost was very affordable, especially for the experience! We had the pleasure of getting Chris as our private guide for the trip. He was super knowledgeable and was previously a park ranger for 20 years - so he knows his stuff. He picked us up in an SUV outside of our hotel, the Planet Hollywood, which was really nice since we did not have other transportation. Chris brought a monocular telescope which allowed us to see birds and animals from very far away. The waterfall was beautiful and the hot springs were a fun experience. 10/10 would recommend taking an excursion with Mardigi Tours! Pura Vida!

Friday we went Hiking at Rincon National Park. Our tour guide was Fred and today we visit the Llano de Cortez waterfall and Sloth Adventure with Cristian as our tour guide. Both Guides were very knowledgeable and passionate. We learnt about the history of the area, all different plants and animals species and more valuable information. Diana who helped me set up the activities was also amazing. She answered all my questions and checked if we enjoy the tours at the end of the day. I would highly recommend Mardigi Tours. They are absolutely amazing.
