From the beginning with the tour guide Marco and his attention to detail, knowledge of his country, wildlife and overall good spirited nature, this tour was a lot of fun. We toured Palo Verde and the historical El Viejo. A great trip for those that do not prefer a highly active tour but would like to experience the beauty and... More

My wife and I were celebrating our honeymoon and booked the Rincon en la Viaje tour thru Tico Tours. Our guide was a gentleman by the name of Marco Elizondo and wow did he show us an amazing time. Our tour consisted of horseback riding, zip lining, mud baths and hot springs. On our way back to the resort, we... More

Marco Elizondo was the best guide ever. We had an awesome vacation in Costa Rica and our day touring the volcano with Elizondo was the best part about it. Don't go with anyone else! He will show you a good time and show you the best of Costa Rica!

This group has it all. We spent several weeks hammering out details, changing our minds, asking for recommendations and Mario never got frustrated or waivered. Our group had some people with physical issues, some teenagers and then adults. They worked around everything for us. I HIGHLY recommend them for arranging any needs you may need while in Costa Rica, especially... More

My friends and I used Tico Tours for airport transplantation and went on three different tours - the sunset sailing/snorkeling tour, Monteverde coffee/cocoa and Cloud Forest tour, and ziplining/horseback riding/mud bath at Borinquin. The employees were always friendly and very responsive making tours easy to book. We specifically requested Marco as our driver for each tour we booked based on... More

I did the Palo Verde Boat Trip (half day trip) near Playa Hermosa. They picked us up at the hotel. During the 45 minutes drive to the boat we got many informations on plantation, tropical dry forest, school system and health care in Costa Rica. Out guide had an answer to almost every question. On the boat we saw a... More

This is a small, family-owned business. Very nice people to work with! We did the ATV Beach/Monkey Jungle/Zipline tour. It was a blast. Machines worked great. Our guide was friendly and patient. Take the goggles and the dust mask when offered, this is the dry forest after all and life here is dusty. Our first zipline tour was awesome. So... More

My family and I did the all day adventure tour and the sunset sailing tour. We had a blast! Tours were well organized and our guides were AMAZING!. We had Marco for the all day tour and Hector and Jose for the sail. They made everything easy and so enjoyable, even with 2 young kids. The food on the sailing... More

We booked the white water rafting on the Tenorio river and ziplining at Borenquin! Both of these experiences were guided by an amazing guide Hansel!! He was extremely knowledgable about the environment around us during our tours. Any questions we asked about plants or animals were answered completely. On our white water rafting trip we were picked up from our... More

Excellent communications with Bernal to set up the trip. They picked us up at our Villa, right on time as promised. The trip from Playa hermosa was about 1 hour and 45 minutes. The rafting was great, lots of class 2 and 3 with a couple of class 4 drops. The 12 foot class 4 near the end threw me... More
