We stopped into FL to get some bike rentals (highly recommended if you're staying in PG). The beach bikes we got could have used a bit more air in the tires but we were just too all over the place to go back and ask for more air (they had mentioned to come back if we needed bike maintenance). The... More

If you get in touch with Corynne at Frijoles Locos in advance; organizing your vacations become easier than you thought. Earlier on the week I got an email from the Surf Shop announcing an Epic Swell coming to Guanacaste right before the beginning of May. Without thinking it twice I called my nephew who's only eight years old and told... More

Just a quick review to recognize we have a very positive experience with this shop- a high quality operation with knowledgeable staff and a well stocked store. We rented boards for a week from this shop and Corynne made it easy and quick to get what we needed. We also signed up for a lesson with Doug; he was so... More

I've rented many boards for Frijoles as well as purchased a ton of clothes. They never disappoint. There is no need to bring your board from the states. The quiver here is sick!

Take a class here, regardless of whether you're a beginner or intermediate. Robert is an excellent instructor with a strong determination to make you a better surfer. He is very patient and has a positive approach to teaching. He loves what he does and is a great person. He taught me more in just a few days to make me... More

We were staying in Playa Flamingo and were told by a local that Playa Grande was a bigger beach with better waves and they were right! We took a drive and stopped at Frijoles for some guidance, based on the Trip Advisor reviews. The shop is great with surf gear, bathing suites, gopro accessories, sunscreen etc. Best part is that... You have to visit if you are in the Playa Grande area. The store has all the newest bathing suits, clothes, and surf gear. The staff are really friendly and helpful and the spa was such a nice break from the heat outside. I got a massage and pedicure and both were very relaxing!!

I stopped by Los Frijoles, while staying at La Marejada Hotel (highly recommend!) last week. The first day I rented boogie boards ($7/day) to take to the beach, the second day I rented bikes ($10/day) to get around the Playa Grande area. I was helped by a young woman who was very helpful and friendly. The rentals were completed with... More

We stopped here for some local surf information and shopping. The selection of gear was plentiful. Victoria was very friendly and told us a lot about the local surf scene. Their prices were average.

We rented a beach chair from this place for several days. Also, one introductory surfing lesson which was reasonably priced and well & patiently instructed. This shop will pretty much provide anything you need to enjoy amaizng Playa Grande.
