I purchased three items here; a bag, sunglasses and a hat. Each item except the sunglasses were over $20 US. The zipper ripped out of the bag, the sunglasses broke on day one (@$15 US). When I went back to inquire about replacing the glasses, I was suddenly met with no English and a shrug accompanied by a smirk. Nice, no - rude, yes!!!

This place was our last stop before hitting the airport, we got our entire family gifts, we also got ourselves some cute butter dish, a beautiful bowl and wind chime. Everyone was friendly and they wrapped everything in tissue paper so that we didnt have to worry about breakage while traveling.

I went into this shop looking for crafts and gifts. The quality was mediocre, improved, manufactured goods. I didn't realize that they were notorious for following around patrons. It made me very uncomfortable. If you visit the cloud forest, the shops there are much better

There are not many good places to buy souvenirs without traveling to Tamarindo. This actually has some cute, unique and well priced stuff. I purchased a really cute tank top and sundress that I will be able to wear back home.

This shop is amazing. Not only are the staff incredibly friendly and helpful but they also have an awesome bull terrier named Senior Pato. Such an awesome shop with some incredibly unique things that you might not be able to find elsewhere.

The location at Playa Flamingo is convenient and the stock in this small arts boutique is very good. The two saleswomen were by far the most sour and dark Costa Rican people we have met in over a month's stay. The only ones in that mood, in fact. Everyone has been so friendly. If I hadn't gone in for one item, which they had, and at the going price, and this being our last day in CR, I would have turned around and left. We are a retired couple, we don't move fast, the least menacing looking people you can imagine. They did not leave their eyes off of us and barely answered questions we had. They never smiled or offered a word. Unbelievable. I have rarely seen such inhospitable behavior in a store anywhere. I even smiled at both of them, greeted them. Nothing. And then the transaction. Oh my. It took both of them 15 minutes to calculate change for a one item sale. Calculator, count, recount.
I did give them a 20,000 colones bill ($40) for a $15 item, but come on. One would expect more on both of these counts for +30yo salespeople. And clearly theft is a problem, cameras everywhere. I'm hoping these women have a better day tomorrow. It was not the best shopping experience for me. I got what I wanted and left. So actually, it saved me money! I loved the art here!

We toured this store on a walk around the plaza after lunch. My husband fell in love with the dog inside. We returned again to make some purchases of T-shirts and a stuffed Frog for souvenirs before we returned home.
Prices are reasonable considering this is the closest shop for miles unless you go to Brasilito where there are a couple more. Nice friendly staff.

This is a lovely shop where you can't get anything you want gift wise to take home. Really very friendly staff (including the owners dog). Definitely somewhere to stop and buy your gifts

Every time I am in Costa Rica I come here for my shopping. This is where I find everything and more. From cheap to expensive, from hippy to classic, from local to oriental, for tourist and locals... highly recommended.
