We had a great 5 hour ATV tour on 12/22/19. Our guide Darwin was fantastic at moving us along at a good speed while still accomodating the different levels in our group. He allowed us to customize things along the way as we were lucky enough to have a private group. He also secured everyone's backpacks to their ATV's and had a cooler full of refreshments attached to his. Diamante is ok but really just a glorified zoo. Go only if you want a zoo or plan to zipline. The rest of the exploration was really fun though. We ran into wild monkeys that ate out of our hand, we went through rivers, over mountains and to many secluded off the path beaches. The vehicles were safe, easy to operate and really fun. I highly recommend doing an ATV tour with this company and I hope you get Darwin!.

We had a great experience booking a tour online with Flamingo Adventures and the tours did not disappoint!! We booked the combo ATV/Catamaran tour and it was an amazing value for the money. Our guide for the ATV portion, Darwin, was friendly, knowledgeable and patient (especially with those of us that had never driven an ATV before). It was a 3 hour tour through the mountains and jungle with some stops at a few beaches. He also asked if we wanted to stop at a local ice cream shop which was actually fresh Gelato. It was so amazing we ended up going back for more Gelato before our vacation was over. We had time after the ATVs to cool off and get a bite to eat before the Catamaran portion which was a sunset snorkel cruise from 2-6 p.m. We highly recommend Flamingo Adventures for your tours if you're in the Playa Flamingo area!!

It was my first time quading and it was also my first time in Costa Rica. Massimo was our tour guide for the atv tour, he took us around some of the local beaches, highest hills with the views of the whole town and lastly he took us to playa flamingo for the sunset. I felt so blessed to be apart of the tour, he was really understanding and very helpful to making us feel safe. The experience was awesome for our last night and it was really special, connecting with Massimo. Thank you flamingo adventures ! Pura Vida

In many trips to CR, I have never experienced such a disappointing tour company. We signed up for an ATV beach tour. In my conversation with the manager, I made it clear that my 88 year old father (very experienced motorcycle rider) was with us and we wanted a nice flat beach ride. His response was “no problem, you just tell the guide where to go.” Before you read below, please note that there are MULTIPLE photos on the company website with pictures of ATV’s on the beach.
1. We never signed a waiver/agreement.
2. Never went on a beach.
3. Spent the first 15 minutes on VERY busy and dangerous roads. (I had a 17 year old on one ATV, and 88 year old on another, and my 12 year old was not he back with me)
4. Once off the roads the guide told us that it was too busy to go on the beach. Then said it was illegal to ride an ATV on the beach.
5. After 45 minutes, we told the guide to turn around and take us back. We were done.
6. We called and just asked for a partial refund, not even a full refund. They were not willing to do anything.
7. Then the manager told me we should have read the fine print. No fine print was even provided.
8. He reiterated that they do not say you would actually go on the beach, just see the beach. The guide said they went all the time but this day it was just to busy on the beach.

I was so shocked. If you want to ride the beach beware. This was totally misrepresented. And really shocked that they would not even offer a partial refund. VERY unprofessional....

Caution to those booking with Flamingo Tours. I was charged a deposit upon booking and was expected to pay the balance on the day of the tour. When we got there we were told the balance needed to be cash which wasn’t mentioned in the confirmation email that I received from them. In order to complete the payment I was charged an additional 20% fee for using a credit card which is absolutely unfair and deceptive. We had to pay extra for transportation to and from our hotel which would have been fine if it hadn’t been a UTV picking us up and dropping us off. The trip from the hotel took approximately 20 minutes and was on good roads. For some inconceivable reason, the trip back to the hotel took nearly 45 minutes, was on dirt and gravel roads and was during a driving tropical thunderstorm. By the time we returned to the hotel my wife and I were soaked to the bone, freezing, and thankful for getting back to the hotel in one piece due to a number of close calls on the way back. The driver even wanted to drop us off at the gate rather than dropping us off at the hotel door. The tour guide spent substantially more time on his phone than showing us anything and while the scenery was beautiful it would have been nice to have learned something as we have from other tours. Riding the ATVs and Jet- Skis was a lot of fun but I wouldn’t recommend this particular tour operator at all.

A friend and I went on the Palo Verde jungle cruise and thoroughly enjoyed it. Hector was our personal guide. There were only two of us on the trip so we got a lot of personal services and were in a car, not a bus. As we left at 7:30 am Hector stopped so we could get coffee, which we really appreciated. On the drive to the park, he told us about the countryside and sugarcane plantations. At the river, we joined other tour groups and were treated to knowledge from 4 different guides. We saw crocodiles, howler monkeys, white-faced monkeys, iguanas, and several species of herons.

We then went to a local outdoor restaurant that served rice, beans, chicken, and salad, all of which were quite good. The pottery tour part was at the restaurant. An indigenous man named Willie talked of his Indian heritage and how he learned from his mother the art of making this pottery. He demonstrated the steps and techniques. Of course, I bought a pot! On the drive back Hector helped me count in Spanish with many repetitions, something I had requested. I would heartily recommend Hector as a local guide.

We booked a sunset sail and snorkel tour through Flamingo Adventures and we were very disappointed. When we got to the snorkeling destination there was nothing but murky brown water and a few brown fish. Our guide said that we probably wouldn't see anything because the rip tide had been in for about a week. So apparently they knew ahead of time we weren't going to see any fish, but took our money anyway? We felt completely ripped off. I sent an email to Flamingo Adventures a day ago, but they haven't responded. Would definitely NOT recommend.

We want to indicate that the tour is in a Catamaran, it is not a tour exclusively for snorkeling, snorkeling in the catamaran is optional and if the client wants to do it, you can do it or not. Remember that we are in nature, in the ocean and not in a pool where the elements can be controlled. We do not do any misleading advertising since nowhere will you be guaranteed to see animal life in the wild, neither in the special snorkeling tour, in professional or amateur diving.

We opted for the 2 hour “Top of the Ocean Jet Ski Tour” of 11 beaches. Wow! Our family of four rented two jet skis out of Brasilito beach. The only hiccup was trying to find the jet ski landing spot. We booked online but communication was lagging so we didn’t get the confirmation text until after we found Flamingo adventures in the next town over a few miles on a dirt road away. But all of that was well worth it. We were assigned Ramiro as our tour guide who speaks both English and Spanish. He was very patient as my older teenagers learned how to operate the two person jet skis. We started off at Isla Plata and a cave adventure, we went to a different cove area to cliff jump, went around the new flamingo marina and toured other beautiful beaches in the area (seems like we went as far as playa azúcar, playa negra and las Catalinas) on jet ski. We finished the tour swimming in a private little cove in the middle of the ocean, surrounded by wild dragon fruit cactus growing on the rocky ledges surrounding us. Amazing! Highly recommend this tour, and ask for Ramiro as your tour guide. He had a wet/dry bag to keep our phones/camera, car key, my wallet. I wish I had brought a hat and sunglasses (thought they might fly off but my son and daughters did not), maybe a go pro, or waterproof camera to keep On me for all the beautiful scenery we passed, and a towel and change of clothes for after. We put our shoes in the compartment of the wave runners. We went across the street after to Patagonia seafood restaurant to wash off in their outdoor shower, take a dip in their pool, early dinner, and watch the sunset. An unforgettable adventure. Highly recommend.

What an amazing tour! We scheduled a private Top of the World Tour with Mossimo and it was an awesome experience. Mossimo if from Italy and like most people that visit Costa Rica he fell in love with the country when he visited 11 years ago and didn't leave. The views were spectacular and the beaches we stopped at were some of the most beautiful I've seen. Our guide was not in any hurry, he told some really interesting stories about the country and his life and when we stopped at the beaches he left our family so we could enjoy our time together and told us to take our time.
I highly recommend booking with Flamingo Adventures and ask for Mossimo, you won't regret it.

This was a well organized and fun tour. Our tour guide Edgar was great!!! This was my wife and I big event for our time in Costa Rica and it didn't disappoint!!!! We started our tour at 8am and completed it at 1:30pm after lunch at a beach side restaurant. This is the best tour for the time and locations that you get to see. We got to see multiple beaches and areas of Costa Rica with just this one tour. All similar type tours I looked at from other companies were the same price for a quarter of the time and visited less locations. This is a great tour for anyone that wants to do a UTV/ATV tour and go to Diamante Eco Adventure park to see the animals but only has time/money to do one tour.
