We had a wonderful diving experience with Risky! He is very personable, attentive, and exudes an energetic welcoming presence. He was very fun and did everything he could to ensure we had a good experience. He was very communicative with us beforehand and after the dive, and spend a lot of time to give us recommendations for the area, as well as a written summary of our dives and sights seen. Thank you for such a great experience!

I was initially excited to go diving, but that excitement quickly turned to fear. I did not have any diving certifications. I was not prepared with the skills to dive. We started with a small group of three new divers. Risky sensed my inhibition. He trained the two boys, then spent extra time to go over skills with me slowly, one-on-one. I felt much better. When we dived into the water Risky became my personal tour guide. He held my hand through the dive and pointed out hidden wildlife such as starfish on the floor, fish dwelling in coral, and even a sleeping shark! Risky made me feel safe and secure. All my worries were washed away. The dive was successful because of him and I will not book another dive tour without him. I'm so thankful we met Risky!

I dove Las Catalinas with Risky Jan 2021. We had a great day with amazing visibility and he is excellent to dive with! I am still a new diver, got certified last year and not completely comfortable yet. He made sure I felt safe, not nervous at all, happy & fun and showed me tons of cool stuff. I will go back and dive with him. He has such a cool and positive vibe about him, he will always make your dive fun and safe.

Went with Risky on my first dive since being certified. I felt intimidated by the ocean but Risky's calm attitude and extensive knowledge got me to the bottom breathing easy (literally).
There is lots to see at the Catilinas, always look up when you are at the bottom. Also, find those seahorses! I'll be back later in the year for sure.

I was determined to try scuba diving on my recent trip to Costa Rica and booked the Discover Scuba Diving course with One Love Ocean Divers. The first noticeable difference is that they will work with your schedule to do the required training and COME TO YOU. So no getting up at the crack of dawn and trying to remember all of the lifesaving skills you’re going to need, before your brain is fully functioning. Bonus.
Now as far as the actual diving goes, I’m going to be completely honest here, I was terrified. Like as soon as we went off the boat and were underwater, started having a full blown panic attack terrified ... and this, in my opinion is where One Love becomes exceptional.
The instructor stayed with me and ‘talked’ me through it (that will make more sense when you go); without being able to communicate with words, he managed to not only calm me down, but get me to stay underwater AND ENJOY MYSELF. I’m not going to lie kids, it is a little unnatural at first, with literally millions of years of evolution screaming from every cell of your body “DO NOT DO THIS, WE CANNOT BREATH UNDER HERE”. So it took a minute, but I made it, and I am so glad I did. It is an experience unlike any other – astonishing, beautiful, bizarre and serene, all at the same time.
I cannot say enough about the expertise, patience and friendliness of the staff at One Love – they were truly remarkable. If not for them, I don’t know that I would have been able to complete the first dive (let alone the second) and I’m fairly certain I would never have gone again.
They go above and beyond to make sure you not only enjoy the diving but they want you to share their excitement for an activity that is obviously very dear to their hearts.
This is not just a tourist, crank them out as fast as you can, money making outfit. They have a genuine love of the ocean and scuba diving, which is conveyed with an enthusiasm that is contagious.
If you have ever wanted to try scuba diving and you have the chance to get out in the water with these guys, DO IT! You will not be disappointed. Even if you’ve already been, so the extra ‘hand holding’ isn’t necessary, they are an awesome group of people to be around, with a vast knowledge of the area and the ocean life that inhabits it; so you are sure to have an amazing time!

If you are looking for a great scuba diving operation in the Caribbean, One Love Ocean Divers In Playa Flamingo, Costa Rica is the place to go. This is a very experienced and knowledgeable dive shop. Their people takes safety very seriously, willing to provide a memorable experience to divers, with customer satisfaction in mind at all times. They have many dive sites off the coast. There you will enjoy spotting tropical fish, stingrays, many different colored starfish, white tip sharks, devil rays, Box Fish, Caribbean spiny lobsters, and many many more species too numerous to mention. The dives we took were very memorable. Be sure to check them out.

Had the pleasure of diving the Brummel Islands with the One Love Ocean Divers this week.
I had both my kids with me aged 10 and 13 so it was important to find a local dive company that I could trust to provide a safe and well organised dive. One Love Ocean Divers were very accommodating from the outset despite our late booking request and took care of us from start to finish.
Great dive and good visibility. Second dive was the best and the kids are still talking about swimming with the reef sharks. An experience I'll never forget. Lots of marine life and great dive leadership. Rest of the family were taken care of on the boat and taken to a shallower location to snorkel.
Will definitely be back.

One Love provided an absolutely excellent diving experience!. I highly recommend this organization. They provided transportation, top-notch dive equipment, perfect dive boat, plenty of information about the Catalina’s and the dive sites. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and fun loving! On top of all this the dives were absolutely amazing....we saw a few sharks, various eels, tons of beautiful fish, star fish AND a Manta Ray AND a Humpback whale! It gets better....the whale serenaded us while the manta ray was enjoying an angel fish cleaning station. #wishmycamerawasbetter

This was my husband's third time diving with One Love and Risky. He had a great couple days on the water. They saw whales, dolphins and a ton of fish. I went along one day for the boat ride. I couldn't believe how blue the water was. Risky is great and fun to be around. He always wants divers to have the best experience as possible. We return to Costa Rica just so we can go with One Love. I highly recommend it. You won't be disappointed!

My boyfriend and I are avid divers, and over the course of 2 weeks we hired 4 different dive shops to explore dive sites across Costa Rica.
One Love Ocean Divers was hands-down the best experience we've had:
1) The equipment is WAY newer and nicer than that of any other dive shop in the area;
2) The divemaster, Risky, is 100x better -- super experienced instructor, who fit us properly for equipment (unlike other dive shops), and was so professional, caring, enthusiastic, and went above and beyond to ensure a top-notch experience (from taking us to the best sites, to spending lots of time in between and after the dives identifying the animals and discussing what we saw).
3) Unlikely other dive shops, which pack you into a boat with 15 other people, including snorklers and novice divers, this was a personalized experience where it was just the two of us with our divemaster. It makes a world of difference. On other dive boats we went on, we were crammed in with barely enough room to maneuver and put on our equipment. Other shops would also have 5 divers to 1 instructor, making it both rushed and take longer -- and a cluster whenever the divemaster had something to point out (with novice divers crashing into other divers). With One Love, it was personalized perfection -- only 2:1 ratio, no waiting around for snorklers or other divers, and no trying to optimize for both groups (and satisfying no one) when choosing dive sites.
4) One Love also make it so convenient to dive. They personally picked us up in their vehicle (unlike other dive shops, which required arranging for a car / taxi), and had all gear packed and ready. The other dive shop we went to made us pay $15 USD for a local taxi beforehand -- then the taxi driver extorted us another $20 USD -- all for a 10-15 min drive! So over it.
One Love is the best -- we would go with them alone next time.... and in doing so, you are also supporting a shop that is eco-friendly and promotes best practices and the highest level of professionalism -- both with their equipment, logistics, and the dive instructors they hire.
One Love Ocean Divers was hands-down the best experience we've had:
