Our concierge recommended Marina Del Rey for Sunset Cruise - and he was spot on! Entire trip from pickup to return was flawless . The cruise itself was smooth and beautiful. The friendly crew onboard was amazing - constantly attending to each guests beverage requests without ever having to be asked . The food served onboard after snorkeling portion of cruise was surprisingly good . And the sunset views seemingly timed to the music was absolutely fantastic. I’d highly recommend taking the entire family on this trip -everyone will thoroughly enjoy .

A perfect afternoon on the water. Excellent staff! They were constantly asking if we needed anything. A very good meal. Bbq chicken beans and rice. A great full bar. A very nice boat. We went on two sunset trips. This one was the compete opposite of the other one !

This was a top notch experience start to finish. Booking was straight forward, we booked in the office in Coco with Juan Carlos and the trip went exactly how he said it would. At first it seemed like it was a lot of people but once everyone had their drinks and found their spots, there was plenty of room to move around. Staff were very professional, experience was fantastic, food was delicious and plentiful. Ages ranged from kids to seniors on our trip and it seemed everyone had a grand time.

Tour was great which included an Open Bar, Lunch with BBQ Chicken, perfect guacamole and salsa and homemade chocolate chip cookies, Snorkeling and went sailing during the sunset. The boat was brand new and huge (over 60 feet long) and held 45 people easily with plenty of room to spare.

Approx Time of tour: 4 1/2 hours
Cost: $75/person everything was included!

Bring towel, sunscreen, bathing suit.

My god, why are you still reading? This should be enough, but fine. I dished out 85 (!) dollars for this trip, expecting some pretty stellar snorkeling. By moment 1 the captain, that is to say some guy hired to drive the boat, started drinking with the two girls he'd brought on board to impress. In the few moments I spent below deck I saw him get four refills. That means a MINIMUM of FOUR ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES. When you are carrying more than a dozen people, that's beyond irresponsible.

Not all was horrible. One of the lads there, Ruby or Ruben, I forget, was quietly but efficiently making the trip as comfortable as he could for people. There was an open bar with OK drinks and the meal was edible. Music was a bit too loud, but whatever. However, HE WAS DRUNK. I feel that sort of negates the whole experience.

I do not recommend this tour. In fact, I'd rather throw 85 dollars pr person into the bin, lock myself into a small dark closet for four hours while Cher wails outside and Tom Cruise throws discarded fish heads at my head. At least if Tom Cruise decided he wanted to get some and got drunk he might miss once or twice.

Almost did'nt make this happen. As we were cancelled on our first attempt to schedule , due to slow season. Decided to try again...WOW !!! The four man crew were fabulous, friendly, and FUN ! Yet professional !!Once on board we were introduced to the OPEN BAR ! The crew made ou very comfortable. There was music, dancing , and snorkleing. The captain constantly used binoculars to locate dolphins and EVEN turtles in the mating process. After all the snorkleing and beach visit we boarded to find endless snacks and even a hot, light, and tastey entree. and more cocktails, music, and dancing. Just when we thought it could'nt get better... We watched the most PHENOMENAL SUNSET EVER !!! The only regret we had was we were leaving the next day, therefore could NOT take this trip again ! This was truly the best bargain we found in Coata Rica Playas del Coco area.

My cousin and I were out kayaking on one day when we kayaked up to the Marlin. The deck hand explained the lay of the boat and the tour. We were hooked. We gathered up our family and all 8 of us went out the next day.

The crew was professional, courteous and fun. The trip was very eventful and will be remembered for years to come. The other guests were awesome. I think one of my favorite parts was being able to hold a blow fish. It's something that wasn't expected and something that I will always remember.

Thanks for a great experience!

We're pretty accustomed to these big sailing catamarans in the Caribean but apparently this concept is pretty new to the Guanacaste area and the Marlin does not seem to be too well known. It's only been there for about six months I think.

Beatiful brand new boat, good service, open bar, great food.

Don't miss this one if you are in the area of Playa del Coco.

Best bang for the buck by far this trip. Sunset, snorkeling, food, drinks, music, dolphins!!! Need I say more? The crew was incredible, very informative and extremely helpful from beginning to end. Climb aboard, grab a drink get to the front of the catamaran, hang your legs off the side or lay on the "trampoline" and enjoy life.

Third time I have taken this trip, and each time it has been excellent, from the ship, the crew, food, drinks hospitality, snorkelling and of course the sunset. The crew go out of their way with their hospitality and ensuring everyone is enjoying themselves, The boat is very large and not ovecrowded, no matter where you hang. The meal is simple, chicken, fruit, fresh homemade guacamole, chips, fresh salsa and chocolate chip cookies.

Don't leave Coco, without taking this tour.
