We highly recommend Manny! He taught us so much about the culture, wildlife, and ecosystem of Costa Rica! We did a wildlife sanctuary tour, swam in the Rio Celeste River, had a wonderful lunch, and hiked the hanging bridges in a Rainforest! With Manny, you meet as strangers but leave as family. It was an amazing day we'll never forget! We will definitely be back to see you, Manny!

My husband and I booked a tour with Manny and Costa Rica Eco Journeys on the recommendation of other guests at our hotel. We are so happy that we had a discussion with them as they were thrilled with their tour, and so were we!
We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel and were on a private tour.
We did a river tour that gave us a close view of many animals, birds, interesting trees/plants/shrubs etc. We also had brunch at a small farm that used all homegrown foods. Delish!
Manny gave us so much information on the trip over about Costa Rica (and other topics as well!). He also gave us a lot of very interesting information on the birds and animals that we saw on the boat tour.
I highly recommend that you do one of the tours that this company provides. It was a fun and informative day!

10+ stars!!!!!
My family of 6 (mixed ages) did 2 excursions with Manny. First was a UTV and second was a Rainforest Combo. The transportation was top notch! Manuel (driver) and Manny (guide) - Team M&M were fantastic! Manny is extremely knowledgeable about the country he was born and raised in. Passionate about making sure his clients are not just ‘another’ tour. We started the tour I’m sure as most start and left feeling like we gained 2 friends. I can’t recommend them enough.
Thank you M&M for taking great care of us for 2 days!!

This is a must use company for any Guanacaste tours! Manny and his team are excellent, from communication in planning, to the actual tours themselves. Manny delivers so much information, wonderful conversation, and he really works to customize your tour for your preferences. We did the all day adventure at Hacienda Guachipelin with transportation. All tours are private for your group, so he really works to move at your pace while ensuring you have the best day. Always available with our camera, he captured the amazing adventures of our day. Our drive Gio was awesome as well and reconfirmed my decision not to drive ourselves! He navigated the roads expertly. We stopped at a wonderful bakery for coffee and pastries in the morning and were able to stop for shopping and snacks on the way back to our hotel - all our preference. He even recommended a friend when we spoke of hiring a taxi the following day for some beach hopping which was a blessing. It made out next day easier to navigate on our own. With so many companies out there, it’s hard to know which is truly the best. I’m here to tell you this is it!

My friend and I chose the rainforest combo tour with Costa Rica Eco &Journey Private Tours because we wanted a more intimate experience rather than being on a tour bus with a bunch of other people. Our guide Manny, was very knowledgeable, not only did he make it a learning experience but a lot of fun. We played in a bright blue river, saw sloths, frogs, snakes, toucans and many other birds in their natural habitat, ate local cuisine, hiked through the rainforest, crossed suspension bridges where we got a bird's eye view of the beauty below and around us. This tour definitely did not disappoint, it was truly an intimate, fun way to experience the beauty of Costa Rica.

Manny and his team are THE BEST! We did a tour of La Leona Waterfall and it was so stunning. The knowledge they provide on flora, fauna and animals in the area is only matched by the beauty of the waterfall itself! The tour concludes with a meal at a local “soda” that is just delicious. Cannot recommend this tour (or any of Manny’s tours!!) more!!!!

We took an excursion to Palo Verde, to do the boat river tour. Manny was so fabulous! On the ride there he told us so much about his beautiful country, he then brought us to a wonderful farm to table family owned restaurant, delicious! He and “Eagle Eye” Zorro were the perfect tour guides during the river tour. We saw about 40 crocodiles and alligators, all sorts of birds, iguanas, bats, and so many cute monkeys! Some were even carrying their babies on their backs, one started breaking a stick, it was so cute. We can’t speak highly enough of our time with him!
Of note, we also took an excursion with another company that is more heavily promoted, we were so much happier with Manny’s personalization. We could tell he really truly cared about giving us a great experience, and had such a passion for his country. I got a recommendation for him through some couples that we met from Canada at the resort we were staying at, they have used him for several years, and have always been very pleased.
Pura Vida!

I can honestly say the Costa Rica Eco Journey and Manny are the best- we have travelled and toured for twenty years and have always come away amazed by the passion and knowledge Manny has of the island. The tours are fantastic, he uses local families and the experience is unique. The attention to details and service go above and beyond. We have used Manny on three separate visits and always come away amazed. We will be back Manny.

We did 2 day trips with Manny!!! He did not disappoint! I had read many great reviews about him and his tours and am so very glad we can now add another great review for him! Very organized, on time, excellent communication- answered all my questions- the meals he arranged both days were fantastic! The travel time flew by as Manny shared his knowledge and love of Costa Rica with us ! I would not hesitate to recommend him and hopefully when we return some day we will connect again- we did the Miravalles Volcano Combo tour (6 people) - and then did the Rio Celeste Nature Hike and sloth encounter (2 people) both were excellent.

You were busy with family so you got someone to take us on a wonderful boat ride to see the monkeys, birds, alligators and the beautiful scenery. We are again travelling to your beautiful country. Hi we are looking for rainforest, volcano, hot springs, coffee farm, and zip line. What do you have and how much for 3 people? If volcano is not active and there's not much to see, I'd rather do horseback riding instead. Please let me know. This is for tomorrow or maybe Saturday. When in Costa Rica in December we went on a great rain forest hike with Manuel, seeing all sorts of wildlife, including spider monkeys and also Bubbling hot springs on the side of the Rincon Volcano. Manuel was a great guide and showed us much more of the area around Liberia, than we could have imagined. He was very familiar with many of the attractions in the area and spoke very good English. He is very popular though so may not be available st short notice. You could contact him at Costa Rica Eco Journeys
We were very impressed. I am not sure what area you are in but if close to Liberia, he is an excellent choice.

I'm sorry I can't help you really on this as we stayed in an adults only. You are going to love Costa Rica I,d return in a heartbeat if I could. We didn't do water rafting as I'm too chicken. Sorry this doesn't help you but I can help and I know the answer please feel free to ask.
