We did two tours with Manuel and his brother Oscar. Milton was our driver We did the Monte Verde experience which includes breakfast & lunch-cloud forest, hummingbird garden, coffee/sugarcane/chocolate tour, and a tour of the local town where Manuel grew up. The other tour was the Miravales volcano & waterfalls by way of horseback ride, then the hot springs/mud bath and lunch. Both were fantastic. Manuel is very knowledgeable about Costa Rica and will provide you as much information as you'd like to learn. The tours themselves were not crowded at all because tourism is just coming back. We all felt a personal connection and we really were glad that we were on our OWN private tour. Not a cattle call tour where you are jammed on bus and timed. We could enjoy ourselves at our own pace. The lunches and breakfasts were authentic Costa Rican food and delicious. In Monte Verde, at the restuarant, I had a drink called Sour Sap. It is Really Tasty- I suggest you order it. It doesn't taste like the name, you will like it. I gurantee that if you hire this company, you will be pleased! They offer a number of different tours and we would have liked to have done more except our time didn't permit.

Don't even know where to start this review! I found Manny from a FB group I was in and from the moment we connected he was fantastic! Weeks before our trip we connected on whatsapp and he answered any and all questions I had and made suggestions to fit our family of 9. He called me personally, sent photos and helped us create a custom package for our trip. We did 2 full day trips with him. When he pulled up in his van (very comfortable for 9 with AC) he introduced us to his driver Milton.. and from then on we referred to them as M & M. Milton was fantastic and a great driver! Manny impressed us from the beginning with his knowledge of not only his country but of many others as well. He was fun, friendly and you can see how much he truly enjoys what he does and has a passion for showing people his country! The first trip we did was to rio celeste, where we saw and swam in the cortes waterfall, hiked to a beautiful waterfall, ate an amazing lunch, saw gorgeous butterflies and made our way to the visit sloths and some other amazing animals! Our second trip was to Bueno Vista where we ziplined, rode an amazing waterslide, did horseback riding, had lunch, enjoyed a mud bath and hot springs. At the end we really wanted to find some souvenirs so he extended time to make a stop on the way home for us! We were never rushed or unable to see and do everything we wanted and Milton and Manny always had a smile on their faces and were happy to help in anyway they could ... even after the long days we had. Manny made us feel like family while we were there and I cannot recommend this company enough. Not only was Manny the tour guide but he also volunteered to take pictures throughout our trips, and they came out great! Thank you for the memories Manny! You helped us see a small glimpse of beautiful Costa Rica and we cannot wait to come back for you to show us more! Pura Vida!!

This was my family and I’s first time visiting Guanacaste Costa Rica and we had such a great time thanks to Manny. We did the Buena Vista and the Palo Verde Wildlife Boat tour. Manny and I communicated via WhatsApp and FB Messenger before my arrival and he even gave a list of recommended things to wear/bring for the tours. Buena Vista tour was our favorite. Parts of the Buena Vista tour was a little exerting, but Manny forewarned us of this even gave us the option to opt out of some activities, but we wanted to see it all. The boat tour was very educational we learned a lot about wildlife and were able to get some awesome shots of the moneys and alligators. With both tours lunch was included our favorite lunch of the two was the lunch after the Palo Verde boat tour. Overall, the tours were fun and Manny is an awesome tour guide. I will definitely be using his services again on our next trip to Guanacaste.

Manuel is such an unbelievably awesome guide! We took two all day private tours with him – Arenal custom tour and the Miravalles tour. They were so so much fun! He speaks very good English, and you can tell he genuinely loves his country. He has a wealth of knowledge about it, and we learned so much. He definitely goes above and beyond – helping us with covid info, stopping at the supermarket and bank for us, etc. What I was grateful for the most – he understood my love for photography and scrapbooking, so he was more than willing and happy to capture so many pictures of us! It was impossible to just pick 10 pics of the tours for this review. I had to stop myself after condensing these 32! He also knew our love for wildlife, so he was always on the lookout for spotting monkeys, toucans, crocodiles, etc. The spider monkeys were our favorite! We also booked our transportation to and from the airport with him. We stayed at the Riu Resort in Guanacaste. Always arrived early and waited for us. I can’t recommend Manuel enough! Next time we come to this beautiful country, we will definitely be reaching out to Manuel again! Pura Vida!

During our 5-day trip, we decided that we wanted to venture out and see more of the country. We worked with Manny from Eco Tours Costa Rica for our airport transfer and knew that we wanted to book a tour with him. I communicated with Manny prior to our trip via WhatsApp, to see what he offered but didn’t book a tour until our first night there. He customized our tour based upon exactly what we wanted to do, which I loved. He picked us up at the resort and had a cooler of water for us so we could stay hydrated. Along our drive, we enjoyed learning about Costa Rica as a country and society, the different providences, Liberia, and Manny and his family. He made us feel as though we were longtime friends. Our first stop was to a waterfall where we were the only visitors there. So we enjoyed getting somewhat in the water and taking in the sights. After the waterfall, we drove up in the mountains to see the sloths. There was only one other group that began their tour as we were leaving. Our tour guide Jenni was a master of pointing out the sloths and animals during our visit. In addition to the sloths, we saw toucans, butterflies, carrier ants, and monkeys! Plus all of these beautiful plants and trees. The monkeys were fearless and enjoyed getting a little too close to us. Our third stop was to a rainforest for a hike and to walk across three hanging bridges. Manny pointed out different varieties of trees and plants during our hike. He is truly knowledgeable and very passionate about what he does. It shines through in everything he does. We had lunch at a local restaurant near the rainforest and mm mm mm, the food was delicious! I am still dreaming about that rice pudding we had, and I don’t even like rice pudding. The restaurant also had a separate butterfly garden the enjoy. On our way back to the resort, Manny took us to get some authentic Costa Rican coffee and cigars at Tio Leo’s coffee shop. Tio Leo gave was a tour of the grounds, showing us all the types of fruits and vegetables that they grow.
