What a treasure! The Fransicans left a trove of art and religious icons from the last several centuries in this OLD church and museum. Very interesting!!!!

My girlfriend and I visited this church during our short stay in the Orosi valley. We chose to check out this church instead of other locales due to how highly it was reviewed on here. I unfortunately do not share the same sentiment as others...More

Nice small church with a really small but interesting museum, you can read a lot about Orosi history, and you can see several archaeological pieces, the church itself still in use which is impressive. Overall a must visit if you come to Orosi.

Beautiful church with lots of history. It is the oldest functioning church in Costa Rica, Be sure to visit the museum next door.

This church was built in the late 1700:s. Located a couple of hundred of meters from the termal springs in orosi, this is an obvious second stop when in the village. Quite interesting and very beautifull church.

Not a long drive from Cartago, the church and museum are a must stop when you visit Orosi valley. It just takes about 30 minutes to visit the site and it's worth it.

On our tour of the Orosi Valley we stopped at this very old church, one of the oldest in the area, to view the architecture. It was Saturday evening and much to our surprise a wedding was in progress and the church was full! Teenagers...More

The church and museum are a beautiful part of this town's long history. It's only $1 to enter the museum. It contains wonderful treasures from when they cleaned out the old monastic residences. They're poorly lit and randomly labeled, yet quite beautiful in their simplicity.
