Beautiful Estate

A great way to undestand the way coffee is produced and the sorroundigs are espectacular. They have a butterfly enclosed space and a Bonsai garden.

Stopped in for a quick guided tour and left entertained, enlightened, and well-fed. Beautiful working farm, processing plant, and a very nice gift shop. Interesting gardens to wander through along with greenhouses and a butterfly sanctuary. Takes about 2-3 hours. My two college age daughters received a student discount.

This was a great place to visit. It was so interesting learning what role the coffee plays in this country. It was amazing knowing just how many years it takes just for one little seed to grow into a plants. Everything you ever wanted to know about coffee can be learned here. The facilities are over 100 years old and the same family has owned and managed the coffee operation. Tour guide takes you through every step of the process from planting trees to sun drying the beans. We were there about 2 hours or so. Beautiful gardens, butterflies and... More

We came by bus, which requiered quite some walking. The signs were clear though. We arrived a few minutes before the tour started and could still join the tour, because there were no other guests (yet). A few minutes into the tour a family joined us as well. The woman with whom I had contact before hand had told me... More

This is a large coffee plantation with nice landscaping. The tour of the processing plant was very informative.

As a coffee addict, I was really looking forward to this visit and was not at all disappointed. Our guide was very informative and keen to answer our questions, and the tour covered the plants, picking the beans and all of the processing steps using the original machinery and techniques. I really liked the hands on aspects too - raking... More

My wife and I had done this tour before years back and loved it so we wanted to share it with our best friends on this trip. Again it exceeded our expectations. I was surprised at how interesting the whole process of coffee was. I don't even like coffee that much, but it turned out to be a very enjoyable part of our trip. Great half day outing near San Jose. Make sure to get the Peaberry blend. YUM
