Waterfall rappelling was top of our list to do in La Fortuna, and part of the reason we went there! We were picked up bright and early, and were rappelling off 100 foot waterfalls before our morning coffee! The staff was AMAZING. Not only were they experienced and made you feel safe, they were hilarious. They had such wonderful senses of humor, and made the adventure even more enjoyable. We rappelled off of probably 6 waterfalls, ranging from over 100 feet, to 40 feet. The biggest surprise was the monkey drop! I won't say what it is...but it's so exhilarating. Plus they have photographers along the way documenting your adventures, so you don't have to worry about carrying a phone around. There was a good amount of hiking involved from waterfall to waterfall, which was so amazingly scenic. If you're in La Fortuna, absolutely recommend this!!

I had always wanted to try rappelling so at 71 years old I finally got a chance with PureTrek. I used to see the rappelling tower at Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base but it was reserved for Recon wannabes. I didn’t want to go in for Recon so I missed out on rappelling in Southern California. I was impressed with the professional staff at PureTrek. They really were very safety conscious. It was quite a thrill to rappel down the cliffs in the tropical canyon. The environment reminded me of some of my adventures in Vietnam. But 50 years later I got a little tired on the trail back and had trouble keeping up with younger civilian men and women. The staff members noticed I had a small cut on my arm and did a careful job of bandaging it so I could take a break. Thanks, guys!

Go here and do this! Our guides and experience were indescribable! From the moment we arrived, we felt like we were their only guests! Each rappel was better than the next! Great for first timer kids and those who have gone before! The grounds at the office were clean, comfortable and the meal was great! We will book again!

Ok, so I am (or was) totally freaked out by heights and wasn't sure I could ever do this but I was determined to try! The guys who taught us what to do made it fun and at the same time, helped me trust I'd be fine. And you know what? I had an awesome time! I was actually bummed there were only 5 waterfalls. I would do this again! Thanks for showing me that I could jump off a cliff for fun!!

My wife and two teenagers really enjoyed our Pure Trek experience. We were picked up from our hotel, provided a great tasting lunch and then taken to our location with personable professional guides. The rappels were fun, safe and had plenty of adrenaline. Our tour occurred on the day CR closed it's borders to tourists and they provided a wonderful time during a difficult period professionally for them. Highly recommend this company. Kudos to it's staff. We will be back. Thank you.
