1. Our guide Andy was THE BEST. With over 10 years of experience, he made us feel super safe going down the rapids (our first time white water rafting), and he cracked jokes the whole way which made it so fun. We signed up for 2/3 but ended up doing 3/4, and it was totally fine.
2. We brought a backpack of stuff including a phone and cash. They were all safety stored in the bus that dropped us off and picked us up at the bottom of the river.
3. Included lunch was one of the best meals we had in Costa Rica. The pork casado slaps.
4. We did ATV after, which was a combo of off roading in the jungle and street riding through farmland. It wasn’t too crazy, but the scenery was nice. Honestly just the white water rafting would’ve been enough in 1 day, but the ATV during sunset was a nice way to end the day.
Overall 10/10 safe, fun, and memorable. I highly recommend this company.

Colon was fantastic!

We did Class 3/4 rafting with Arenal Rafting. The price was extremely reasonable which included transport, lunch, towels, fresh fruit and water. Colon was our guide. I cannot put into words how amazing he was at ensuring we had the best day! He made sure we enjoyed the rafting but also pointed out wildlife during the calmer sections of the river. I would highly recommend Arenal white water rafter to anyone thinking of doing a tour. Everyone and everything about the day was amazing and created an all-round experience. 11/10 overall!

Amazing Experience

This was one of the highlights of our trip. It was truly a great experience from start to finish. Our guide, Diego, was friendly, skilled and very knowledgable. He pointed out interesting plants and animals along the way and gave us opportunities to float in the river. They provide dry towels, drinks and fresh fruit at the river and a very nice lunch back at their office location. I would highly recommend Arenal Rafting to anyone visiting the area!

Fabulous tour! We had two kids with us and they were able to put our family with one guide - it’s almost like a private tour but you also have the fun with the other 18 boats!! They took extra care with family with young kids, put us in the middle so in case anything happens there are always people can help. Emphasize on safety and so much fun along the tour. Our guide Touby (goes with VICTOR for the photos) was fantastic- he was able to spot many animals along the trip, he was also so good at sailing the boat so the tour was extra fun! We think we got the best guide :-) The fruit and lunch provided during and at the end of the tour was delicious. The staff was super friendly and passionate, everyone gets big smile on their face at the end of the tour. Highly recommended!

Great Value, Amazing team and time

I had an amazing time. We had very in depth instructions from Juan Rosales on our way to the rapids.
two people fell out of the raft and we expertly got them back from the instructions we’d received
The fruit we had in the middle was absolutely delicious.
Alex was our leader on the raft and was super friendly, knowledgeable, and got us out of the boat to float and enjoy opportunities to see wildlife.
Having a yummy lunch now
Such a great experience for a great price. Unbeatable value would def recommend

Rafting at its best

We were fortunate enough to enjoy an epic whitewater rafting trip on the Balsa River with the fantastic guides from Arenal Rafting, pictured below. Our guide Allam impressed us with his professionalism, kindness, sense of humour, contagious energy, and going the extra mile to ensure our family extracted the maximum from the opportunity.
Our young teen kids were whooping with delight all the way down the fantastic grade 2-3 rapids, with standing waves covering the boat at times, much to everyone’s enjoyment. It’s the most concentrated whitewater rapids experience you could wish for in a short 2-3 hr trip.
They also stopped halfway for an ‘eat as much as you can’ fruit fest by the rivers edge……..the most deliciously fresh fruit on the planet!
We have done a number of similar trips around the world, including North and South America and Southern Africa, and this one of the best.
Sincere thanks to Allam and the team for a day our kids will not forget.

Our rafting experience was great!! All the team members were highly professional, explained all of the safety rules in advance and made sure we knew how to manage ourselves during the rafting.
Our guid was Alex, he was highly professional and also entertaining and knowledgeable. Alex explained everyhing patiently and took care of us even when some of us fell off the raft (isn’t that bad when you follow safety rules :)). Alex also showed us some interesting animals along the way.
The rafting tour crew treated us with great fruits and traditional lunch.
Very recommended experience! Alex made sure we had lots of fun and kept us safe! :)

The Best La Fortuna Tour EVER!

The best white water rafting team and tour company in La Fortuna!!!!

Started from Mariana who helped plan our group of 13 for Rapelling/Canyoning, ATV and whitewater rafting. She is so sweet, professional, and very attentive to our questions and is able to get us the best tours!

Rapelling with them is by far the best adventure we have done in our family ever. In addition, the Whitewater rafting is super fun also because of Oso and Yader! They are SO terrific and very funny!

Oso got our 6 kid's boat and he accomplished his mission by making our kids' raft flipped! It was a blast to all of them. He also is super professional, funny and made it super safe for the entire time. We have done so many whitewater rafting in the US and Costa Rica in the past 20 years and he could probably be one of the best raft guides we have had!

Yader is also such a great raft guide. He got the parent raft and he is SO funny and made none of us fall out of the raft, as our wish! He also spotted so many animals during the raft and knew all those names. We also got to see the red/blue poison frog!

We gave our highest recommendation for the Arenal Rafting Group! Sudarat and family!

I had an incredible river rafting experience with Roberto as my guide! From start to finish, Roberto's expertise and enthusiasm made the adventure truly unforgettable. His knowledge of the river, safety precautions, and rafting techniques put me at ease, allowing me to fully enjoy the thrill of the ride. Not only did Roberto ensure our safety throughout the journey, but he also shared fascinating stories about the surrounding nature and the history of the area. His friendly and approachable demeanor made it easy to ask questions and connect with fellow rafters. Roberto's passion for river rafting was contagious, and his commitment to providing an exceptional experience was evident in every aspect of the trip. I highly recommend Roberto as a river rafting guide for anyone looking to have an exhilarating and memorable adventure on the water.

This was one of the best experiences I have ever had. From the moment we arrived to the end all the staff was very nice. My guide was Warner and he was very knowledgeable and made sure we got a few added experiences like trying some traditional fruit and stopping to see a few native frogs. He made sure everyone on the raft had fun and got what they wanted. I personally am an adrenaline junkie so I loved the rough current and loved the big waves produced by the currents so he made sure I got a few of my own splashes. He would also offer a more calmer environment if we expressed that we did not like the rough currents. Overall the best guide I’ve ever had. Thank you so much Warner/Tala for a great experience.

Era una de la mejores experiencias que e tenido. Del momento que comenzó el paseo todos eran súper amigables. Mi guía Warner estaba bien informado de todo lo que íbamos a ver. Se aseguró que todos tengamos una buena experiencia. Nos llevó a ver unos sapos nativos y nos dejó probar alguna fruta. El se aseguró que todos disfrutarán del paseo al máximo. Personalmente me gusta la adrenalina y se aseguró que tengo algunos chapoteos. Durante el paseo nos advirtió si era demasiado fuerte nos podía ofrecer una experiencia más suave. A sido el mejor guía que e tenido. Muchas gracias Warner por esa experiencia tan bonita!
