This was probably one of our favorite activities we did in Costa Rica. It’s a very educational and interactive tour. Our guide was very good. It was just me and my fiancé on the tour and he made us feel very welcome and special and made us laugh several times. We had a really fun time learning about chocolate and then making our own chocolate drink from scratch! Also got to create our own chocolate flavors. Would recommend this tour to everyone visiting la Fortuna. You won’t regret it!

A fun diversion for all ages with a bit of education on the growing, harvesting, history, and origins of chocolate and cacao. Audience participation grinding beans, making chocolate, and best of all, eating chocolate. A most engaging master of ceremonies. Appropriate attention to hygiene and social distancing in the time of Covid.

Learned sooo much about the history of cacao and even how the industry works now. Very informative and fun. Our guide, Katherine (sorry, can’t remember her name exactly!) was funny and knew so much about the fruit. Oh… and the best part? You get to try so much chocolate with your own toppings. Yum :)
