I stayed at La Finca Lodge / Centaura for 1 week and did 4 horse riding trips with them. I highly recommend the place! They work to a very high standard, with well trained / safe horses and a fantastic team to look after them. Their hospitality is amazing as they are also very careful to find the right horse for you that matches the route they have planned in advance. I was privileged to have Danny as my tour guide for the entire stay. He planned different routes every day so that I could experience the huge biodiversity of Costa Rica. I was able to learn so much during these days as he is a very good teacher of nature, wildlife and horses. It was a perfect getaway at this time of the pandemic as they take great care of everything! I will definitely be back very soon!…

The horses were well-trained, our guide was outstanding, and the landscape was lovely. This was, hands down, the highlight of our trip for all of us - but especially for our kids. Our five and seven year olds each rode their own horse. The horses were very well-trained and safe. I cannot recommend La Finca or this adventure highly enough!!…

Carlos was a fantastic guide. He was very knowledgeable and catered to our riding style. The views were amazing and horses great to ride. Saw beautiful scenery and got to gallop a bit with the horses. Carlos also affected great picture of us along the way. Would go back again

We did the half day tour in the morning when it was not too sunny. Perfect weather! Our guide Carlos speaks English very well and knows a lot about all the plants and animals you'll see along the way, but also about Costa Rica in general. The horses we rode (Canelo & Picante) behaved perfectly! Afterwards we had a drink at the reception area which is a very nice place to sit and relax for a bit with very attentive staff :)…

This was our first time riding a horse. We decided on Centaura because of the positive reviews and the variation. The ride was really nice - we went around the surrounding area and through sugar cane fields, dirt tracks and even through a river. The horses looked really looked after and were great for beginners like us and didn’t make us nervous. Our guide (Danielle) was nice to talk, relaxed and knowledgable. The ride lasted almost 4 hours and I would consider good value for money as it was a private tour and we got to get up close with the horses and not part of a large group. It’s a little drive from Fortuna but worth travelling to in my opinion. The guide also took some nice photos which we were sent a link to at no additional charge. We really enjoyed it. …
