Stayed here for two nights. Our room was an upstairs room facing out on to the trees surrounding the pools. Our room was really nice, modern and clean and had a large comfortable bed, good air conditioning and a stunning bathroom.
The hotel grounds were lush and well cared for and seemed well thought out.
The breakfast buffet was excellent and had loads of options. For dinner on both nights we followed the advise of so many reviews on here to avoid the dinner buffet - we instead decided to opt for bar food options on both nights. We had burgers, fish tacos and vegetable wraps - all of which weren’t great and were quite stodgy and there weren’t many options for a pescatarian. My advise would be to eat out elsewhere.

The pools were lovely and relaxing and made for a really nice element of our stay. They are however very busy at certain times and as a resident guest you feel quite cast aside for the quick easy money of day trippers. It would be nicer if certain privileges could be arranged like a dedicated residents bar perhaps. The swim up bar was staffed by a very hard working and professional bar tender who worked alone flat out and it would often take up to 30mins to wait to be served a drink. Maybe he could do with an assistant? Cocktails and drinks are also very expensive with beers costing around $4 and the cheapest cocktails being $8. A whole day here could get very expensive. As residents we brought our own drinks for the evenings and only bought these overpriced cocktails when actually in the pools.
We had massages which were great and very relaxing, the masseuses were very strong and my Swedish massage was eye watering at times so just beware if you don’t like hard massages!

When we checked in were were also told we could use the pools as residents from around 0930 to when the masses arrived at 1130. In reality this was not true and on both mornings pools were half filled with extremely hot water or were empty until around half an hour before day trippers arrived.

All round nice place but I think they are yet to strike the right balance between pleasing their resident and their day trip guests.

These springs were recommended to us by our host at the Treehouses Hotel. The admission was cheaper than some of the other hot springs in the area and we had the option of not including a meal. We arrived when they opened to the public at 11 AM and were issued towels and locks. We were the first to use the changing rooms and locker areas. The grounds were very nicely landscaped with lush plantings. We walked around the concrete paths and found a very private alcove amongst the trees. The private patio contained 2 long lounge chairs and a small table. From it, we could see the large hot pool with waterfall. Pleasant music was playing on the sound system. We appreciated that it was not loud, rock music. We enjoyed a cool, refreshing fruit drink from the bar. There were very few people around. For lunch, we got very nice salads from the bar and could eat them at our little table. The very helpful bartender helped my husband to carry the salads and water bottles to our spot. The hot pool felt wonderful. It had some long, partially submerged loungers to recline on while in the water. There was also a bench right under the waterfall for sitting. As the afternoon progressed, the pool got busier but it was never crowded – perhaps it gets a lot busier at night! We really enjoyed our peaceful time here.

Four of us decided to stop by and check out the hot springs with a day pass. We arrived on a Monday shortly after they opened at 11, did not book ahead and did not include the meal option. We enjoyed the various pools, and for $28 US thought this was a great value. Your day pass is good all day and you can leave and come back. We stayed until about 4 and had a fun relaxing day going between the various pools and having a few cocktails. In addition to great cocktails, we had yummy fish tacos we ordered from the bartender which I would recommend.

We spent two nights at Paradise Hot springs for Christmas. The hotel is lovely and staff absolutely fabulous. However, we were offered a 'special meal' for Christmas, and not told what this included , but thought we would go with it for Christmas day as a treat. The food was appalling, basic salad, fish and pork and absolutely nothing special for $45 per person. We went to the other standard restaurant to look at the difference in the resort and the buffet there was serving similar food for half the price or eat from the al a carte menu. We checked with the reception and they said we could swap, so we did and had something from the al a carte menu in the main restaurant which was beautiful food. When we went to check out the manager Estaban refused to drop the charge for the 'special meal' despite awful food and basically overcharging for something slightly different from the main restaurant for $19. This was all incredibly disappointing after spending a huge amount of money during our stay as it is our honeymoon, that the manager refused to acknowledge this and put customer service first. If you stay here don't accept any 'special events' they are a scam and management are unwilling to recognise or take any responsibility.

Very manageable. Not glitzy like neighboring Baldi, more reasonable than Tabacon. Pools were nicely labeled. Not spread over a big area. Nice private areas with chairs to relax in between pools. Pleasantly lit at night. Soothing music. The dinner included with our day pass was not what was shown on the restaurant dinner menu. Choice of protein and two sides, soup, drink and very small piece of tres leches cake. Tasty, but not impressive.

Two of us decided to try this place based upon their road signs and website. We stopped for a brief tour, and booked a room for August 25th. It was a bit upscale but the price was very reasonable for the quality of... EVERYTHING.
The bed had a 4" pillow top to drown in, we loved all the natural stone and wood, and the plantings were dense and lovely. There were a number of different pools with greatly varying sizes and temperatures. Plenty of places to sit outside, in front of the room or by the pools. There were both very hot and cool whirlpools with strong jets. Speaking of strong, I chose a deep tissue massage with Lauren, and she was very well-trained. Best massage I've had in this country so far (I've lived here 10 years).
We enjoyed a terrific evening meal of tuna ceviche, chicken brochette with maracuja glaze, salad and a brownie dessert that was so good I was tempted to lick the plate.
Let's not forget the staff!. Every single person - and I like to test them - was very responsive to unusual requests, and that's not so common here except in very expensive locations. I'd give this place a very high rating in all areas, and we will return!

I have to admit, I am a bit hesitant to give it 5 stars, mainly because I don't want everyone to know how nice it is and make it harder for me to book in the future, LOL! Small resort, landscaped to make it feel like you are in the middle of the rainforest. We booked the suite which was just about perfect. Nice size room & bath, but the selling point is the private rooftop deck that you access by a spiral staircase is the room. From there, we had an unimpeded view of the volcano and it became a morning ritual to sit up there and just enjoy before going to breakfast. The pools are great, with the typical cold, warm and hot pools. Plus a lot of shady areas with lounge chairs so you can escape the strong sun. Swim up bar was lovely. Special shout-out to Augusto who was so nice and attentive; he made some great drinks. Restaurant is okay. Breakfast buffet with regular mix of foods that included really fresh and delicious fruit. We ate dinner there our 1st night because we arrived late. The food was middling and no where near the tasty meals we enjoyed in town. But, they do have live music every night, with several musicians/singers that were really good. Resort staff, from the front desk, to security, to waiters, and to housekeeping were outstanding. Always great and always greet you with a smile. Can't wait to return!

First, we were a bot sceptical which hot springs spa to choose, then we chose the Paradise Hot Springs because we could reach the place within walking distance, and also because the entrance fee was acceptable for us.
Then, during our day-long stay everything turned out to be quite pleasant: it was not too crowded; there were several nicely located pools, we could perfectly relax and enjoy the whole day. Towards the evening we also received a dinner (which was not the maximum) but all together we turned back to the hotel quite satisfied.

The staff were super helpful and the grounds were lovely with TONS of greenery. The room was huge, the bathroom massive and everything was very clean and comfortable. I was there in the slow season and at times I was the only person in the huge pool and there are tons of nooks with loungers hidden amongst the greenery and you can go from pool to pool to hot top easily. I thought the pools were in good repair, there is some construction but I never noticed it and it's hidden by a wall of greenery. It should not disrupt anyone's stay.

Because it was slow, there were not many buffet breakfasts, but they gave you a choice of four options and the portions were huge. I had a HUGE plate of various fruits every morning, and a full American style breakfast. Even when I had lunch or dinner I thought the food was delicious, nicely presented and I thought extremely reasonably priced for a large hotel. You could also just walk 20 feet from my room and see an amazing view of the volcano.

My only complaint was while there is a spa, I couldn't seem to figure out how you got to the area with the massages, it appeared to be closed so maybe because there were so few people there it wasn't even open, but to be honest I didn't ask. I know if busy times it may end up with more day users of the spa but to me it was worth it to be able to go back and forth and use the pools when I wanted rather than pay a lot of money to spend the day somewhere.

Day pass (no food). Went at 11 as a solo female and had the place to myself for half an hour. Was pouring with rain but made it super atmospheric.

Two large pools with good temperatures, two smaller colder ones and several smaller hotter pools. Little waterfalls to massage and loungers in the large pools.

Plenty of chairs / loungers and umbrellas to hide from the rain under. Swim up bar is $3 for beers and $8-12 for cocktails. They also do bar food for $7+ so if you’re not into buffets it is cheaper to get a day pass without a meal and order bar snacks.

Lovely grounds, super clean pools and not designed for kids (no slides like other places), so peaceful. Fab few hours and would recommend! Get there early before the tours arrive from around 330pm for some peace and quiet!

Absolute bargain compared to the cost of some other places.
