Our guide, Marco, was awesome. He was very knowledgeable about the various plants & animals that we passed along the way. Make sure to wear closed-toed shoes, as the hike is rough in some areas. The views were absolutely amazing. Definitely worth it!

What a cool experience! The rainforest is so different at nighttime and it was fun walking around in with our flashlights looking for nature. Our tour guide was great and seemed genuinely interested in what it was we were finding. Highly recommend but if you have mobility issues or are afraid of the dark you should avoid this activity.

My wife and I liked our driver (Felix) and guide (Walter) but a tour guide is not needed for this excursion. Tickets can be purchased at the door and a taxi can be taken to the park. Again, Felix and Walter gave us great service but we should have saved the money and done this on our own.

Our tour guide Walter was knowledgable and very friendly. We enjoyed getting to know him and learn all about the Arenal region. Our driver, Felix, was a great to talk to as well. We enjoyed the hike and learned a lot about the region. Highly recommend.

My wife and I learned so much from our evening in the fields with (we forget his name sorry but he spoke amazing English!) and then cooking in the kitchen with Sonya. We've actually cooked some of the foods we learned about at home and are very appreciative. Our guide took us through the farm, we picked a pineapple, he cut it for us and we ate it like ice cream cones in the middle of the field. He also cut fresh sugar cane for us and I have been craving it ever since! It was cool to harvest the same food we then cooked for dinner. After dinner we were dropped back off at our hotel and it was one of the most memorable nights that we had during our trip to Costa Rica. We would 100% recommend this class but only in a very small group.
