Small private Natural Reserve that takes care of a secundary forest in natural reneration. iT counts with a 600mts trail along the park. Around the facility you will find sloths (2 and 3 toes) a pretty big diversity of birds (Aprox.170spp)Butterfly garden, where you breed close to 20 different species. The frogs are very common, but mostly at night, in the day the msot active one is the blue jeans frog.

You can get here for about $7 in a standard cab and entry with a guided costs $20 per person. Though we were lucky enough to get a volunteer guide for no extra cost over the $15 entry price (they really should start paying him in my view!). He was excellent - so enthusiastic about his country's wildlife and great... More

This was recommended by our receptionist and was a great choice. We had a guide who was very knowledgable pointing out many beautiful birds, poisonous frogs, tree frogs, smelly plants, sloths and toucans. Without a guide it is really easy to miss lots of these things

We visited on a damp afternoon and were blown away by the variety of wildlife in a natural setting - sloths (2 and 3 toed), caimans, butterflies, blue jeans frog, red-eyed tree frog and so many birds. Excellent guide too!

We stopped by and took a walk around and saw lots of wildlife. Spent a couple hours just taking in the views. Great place to have an easy walk and see wild life.

We took our family (kids ages 8 and 11) to the Ecocentro to try to see some more flora and fauna of the Arenal area. I suggest you hire a guide - it isn't that much more - and let him or her lead you around the place. It isn't that big but the guides know the area very well... More

My husband & I visited this center bc we wanted to see a sloth...and we saw 3:) This is a nature preserve (not a zoo). Our guide was really friendly and knowledgeable about the property and the large variety of plants and wildlife. We learned a lot! We also liked that this is a restoration project. The center also has... More

We arrived by private car mid-morning and had the place to ourselves. The tour is very educational. Our guide was one of the most pleasant people you'd ever meet. We saw 2 Three Toed Sloths, one with a baby, and one Two Toed sloth. It was a rare moment. We were able to get a picture on the camera phone... More
