Made an unexpected stop for dinner one night and it was our best dinner in Costa Rica! 100% authentic. There was no menu and the staff did not speak any English but we managed to order great food/drinks and felt extremely welcomed by everyone! Highly recommend!

I visited La Fortuna in Feb and Aug '16 and hoped to stop into this great gallery. I purchased a Baruka mask several years prior and wanted to see what else was available. But, as of 2016, the gallery closed and a traditional CR restaurant, serving casados, opened up

Really wide variety of Costa Rican artwork, and something for most any budget. We bought some cool ear rings carved from lava for a very reasonable price, and also bought a beautiful (and far more expensive) Boruca mask. The owner is friendly and generous with her time. Very willing to walk you through the stories behind her stuff. …

We saw this shop on our way to our hotel and decided to go to get unique souvenirs. Most of the piece are great, but the paintings and the mask are really expensive. We still found some great items to bring back home.
