We went on this tour with our 9 and 14 year old kids, and all really loved it! We definitely recommend this tour.
Oscar was our guide and he was super knowledgeable and totally nice. His knowledge is not just superficial, but he was able to answer all our questions at great depth.
Even though it was raining once in a while, it was not a problem, and we still had tons of fun, since it was warm and we had ponchos. We saw a ton of animals (see list below).
We recommend raft over kayaks, since you can share water, binos, etc and don’t have to worry to be in another corner when the guide points to a certain animal.
In the end, you get to enjoy local snacks and drinks at a small restaurant. It was totally nice to taste these local specialties: tortillas with rice, homemade cheese and plantains, coffee and cacao, and sugar water from sugar cane.
Regarding Covid safety: we had requested to not have anyone else on the shuttle and we sat in the back with windows open and masks. On the boat, everyone was wearing masks, and Oscar was in the rear of the boat, such that the wind provides additional protection.
