An interesting exposure to souvenir production. You'll see some of their products around the tourist shops but not all of them. Not a sweat shop, it seems like the employees work in a nice environment. The collection of souvenirs is out of this world. Anything and everything that can be made out of wood is in the store. It's a short distance just west of SJO. I didn't get to visit café, but the Solano's probably have a great one.

So glad we found this. Made a great last-day stop to pick up gifts. They have everything - furniture, hammocks, tees, trinkets, and everything imaginable made of wood. Prices range from $2 (wood bead bracelets) to about $175 (those ubiquitous wood and leather rockers).

This was a charming place to have brunch, relax and buy souvenirs. You can walk around the area and enjoy of the frog pond, beautiful wood chairs and masterpieces. The food was delicious and the whole experience was enjoyable.

Stopped here on our way back to San Jose, at the end of our trip. Nice selection of souvenirs, with decent prices compared to some other places. We didn't get to go on the tour as there were no workers at the factory as it was very close to Christmas. Worth stopping if you need to pick up some souvenirs before you are heading out of the country. Some of the products from here were found at the airport for much higher prices.

Well we paid $40 for a round trip shuttle to this place because we go home tomorrow and we needed gifts. Everything is so overpriced in Costa Rica we were looking for a deal of some kind. We did not find it. We paid too much. We ended up going to walmart which i hate just so we could get something reasonable!!!! Turns out that we were not smart to go to this 'factory'. $19 for a tshirt is ridiculous. Most of the shirts are all white anyways and with one simple design.super disappointed

Hello Lindsey, we are very disappointed to know you didn't liked our store. We always try to keep the best variety of Souvenirs made in Costa Rica, and in our store you will find the best prices in Wood Souvenirs, as you may have noticed we have a wood souvenir factory too. Regarding the T-shirts and other items we cannot make out of wood, like all other stores, we have to buy those from local suppliers and try to offer them at competitive prices for our business model. I'm pretty sure you can find them at better prices at WalMart along with other items imported from China.
