Always desired to visit a plant where one of our cars was built. Our family was in Tucaloosa for a graduation and the graduate facilitated our tour. The plant is spotless! The tour guide hit the sweet spot for our broad age span group. There is a certain Germanic aura to the place which is reassuring. At the time all... More

We were just driving by the area and noticed this Mercedes-Benz facility had a museum. We did not have reservations nor did we book a tour. We just went inside to do a self guided tour through the museum. The facility is very beautiful and the museum is very informative. There's a nice gift shop inside if you want to... More

I loved being able to see how the cars were made. They walked us through the whole assembly process and although the guide was a little abrupt with us, the whole experience was worth it.

I visited with my four children, ages 11, 9, 7, and 2. My 11 year old was entranced, absorbing every detail carefully and impressed by the cars on display. My two year old wanted to touch and climb on the cars, both of which are not allowed. I wish I'd brought my stroller to help contain her. The middle two... More

This is a two hour tour of the Mercedes Benz factory that is the only location in the US that produces the vehicle. The robots and employees are fascinating to watch with the assembly of the various car components. You get to see every facet of the operation except for the painting.

I think I would have enjoyed it much more if I hadn't been to the BMW manufacturing tour in Munich, Germany. Mercedes Benz keeps tour participants far away from the manufacturing process. Stand behind a line and against the wall. If you haven't been on a European manufacturing tour, this will be very interesting. I give them points for having... More

Took a tour on how they put together the cars. i remember the most on how they put the doors on because my brother works there and I found that very interesting because that's what he does. It was all interesting.

Be sure to visit the new Mercedes-Benz US International Gift Shop and Museum and also take a tour of this amazing high-tech automobile manufacturing facility. Receive an in-depth view and explanation of manufacturing process from well-trained tour guides as you see from start to finish the workmanship and engineering that goes into the building of the safest vehicle on the... Spent a couple of hours here on a Monday. Easy to navigate, lots of interesting information. Highly recommended, especially for those Benz owners.

There is nothing to see here on the weekends, so may not even be worth the stop unless you just want to see a huge building and where some of the cars are made.
