First time to Alabama and the famous Talladega track. What a trip!!! Incredible speed and anything can happen. We really appreciated the extra help to get us shuttles around the track.
Some great interaction with Joey Logano in the winners circle.
Everything is very organized,...More
My buddy and I decided to experience the Busch Balcony during this race trip since we aren't getting any younger and have no idea how long we can keep attending. Now we're spoiled. This is the best way to watch the races. The location is...More
Ever since "Ricky Bobby" I have wanted to visit this track! It was everything I expected and more. Had an awesome time! Of course having hot passes made the trip even more exciting. Another track to check off my bucket list...but one that I hope...More
A track this size cannot help but impress. Our time was short so we skipped the museum and took the tour which was a bit pricey. I'll never forget being parked in the tour bus and looking up at the top of the corners, some...More

I am going to the Talladega Superspeedway this weekend. I will be staying in Cullman from Friday to Sunday and will be driving back and forth to Talladega every day via Birmingham. I'd like some restaurant suggestions along this route. I love seafood, barbeque and down-home Southern cooking-all food really. Thank you for your help!

First, you do realize that you will have a minimum 2-hour drive from Cullman to Talladega. That's not factoring in traffic. Make sure you've got gas and take a potty break before getting out of Birmingham. For seafood and down home cooking, but with a Greek touch, you can't beat Nikki's West on Finley Blvd. It is just over a mile off of I-65 just before the I-20/59 junction. For barbecue, I would recommend Pat James' Full Moon. They aren't really on your route, but worth the trip....More
