My husband is an avid Nascar fan. We have visited a number of the Nascar race tracks an decided to stop and see Talladega Superspeedway on our way to Florida. We visited the racetrack and Hall of Fame which is on the grounds of the speedway. Admission was $16 for adults for the museum and a van tour of the track. There is no senior discount on the packages. The museum was quite large with lots of cars and history. We finished the self-guided tour thru the museum and had to wait a while for the van tour of the track. It wasn't busy and I have to assume that they wanted to try to fill the van up before doing a tour (they advertise that there are tours every 1/2 hour). The tour was interesting, however the ride around the track was just at the bottom of the track. Other speedways will take you part way up on the inclines. This track did have a VERY steep incline and it was interesting to try and imagine how a car sticks up there ! We were glad to have done both the museum and the track tour.

The Nascar Race in Talladega in October 2022 was the absolute beat race we have attended. Every area of the event was very well organized and made to be the best experience as a racing fan.
The traffic going in and out of the track was organized extremely well.

Talladega is hallowed ground. period! it is the world's largest, fastest, widest, most steeply banked and fastest race track. you really must see it in person to take in the scope, the magnitude and the sheer size of the facility. nothing else like it on earth. they only host 2 races a year....early may and mid october....so the rest of the time set aside for tours and smallish events. at the front is the motorsports museum. well worth the price of admission. you just can't imagine that tucked in the woods of NE alabama with one single small interstate on/off ramp, lies the biggest racetrack ever built. and nothing finer than Alabama folks.

I must for any NASCAR fan. First time visit to the Superspeedway. The speed and bumper to bumper racing was incredible compared to the smaller tracks. Easy to get around the speedway. Parking was easy in and out. Concessions were OK . I would recommend the tri oval tower tickets which we had. They seemed like they were better than the grandstand seats. Should be on your NASCAR bucket list.

First trip to Dega. Make sure you have rental car reservations way before you plan on going. Almost no way to get to the track if you don't have a rental car. Went to the April 2021 race. Was all I expected it would be. Sat in the Tower Seats where you could see the entire track plus has the big screen to view. Expensive tickets but worth it.

I know nothing about NASCAR. We were in Birmingham to play golf and decided on a day trip to the Superspeedway to see an Xfinity Series race. We totally enjoyed the experience. I thought it would be boring to see people making left turns for 2 or 3 hours but I was wrong. It is exciting. If you value your hearing, you should bring ear plugs or other type of hearing protection. It is loud. The facility itself is clean and nicely laid out. Parking and departure were efficiently handled.

We were going from Atlanta to Leeds when we passed Talladega. As my brother is very fond of cars he decided to takes us there. We just saw the NESCAR races venue, which was pretty awesome, as there were no races there because of the rain. Still it was a pretty WOW experience and I got a Talladega Bell for my collection. The circuit was huge. It was more of a racing car city.

I have been to this track many times for Nascar races. This visit, there was no race so we drove in a far as we could to look around. Lot's of camping/car parking over what seems like hundreds and hundreds of acres. Looking forward to a race in the near future.

Talladega was a bucket list race for me. Actually, to be honest, I made it a goal as a little kid to someday get to every single track on the NASCAR Cup Series schedule. So far I have been to New Hampshire, Dover, Watkins Glen, Martinsville, Richmond, Charlotte, Pocono, Bristol, Darlington, Indianapolis, and Daytona. Talladega was my 12th cup series track. I bring that up because it allows me to give a good comparison to other tracks and experiences.
First, the track. It's big... that goes without saying. But it's Talladega and it has a reputation that draws you to it. In my experience with going to many

If you are a race fan, you need to experience a race here at Talladega! It was awesome! I wish I had given myself more time before the race, so I could experience everything going on. Next time I will arrive earlier. If you are on the fence about whether nor not to come to a race here....just do it! You won't be disappointed!

Hello, I would like to write to you about your "Garage" experience. we are going to the Geigo 500 on 04-26-2020 and we have taken tickets at the Tri-Oval-Tower.
can we go to the track before the start of the course and see the pilots? or should you buy "garage experience" in addition?
if we buy "garage experience" can we then go to our Tri-Oval-Tower place? Or is the Tri-Oval-Tower ticket no longer useful?
Thank you for your reply.

You should buy the Garage Experience if you want to go to the garage and pits. You will like the Garage Experience there is a lot to see and do and they have food that they don't have in the stands at better prices. You can go back and forth between the Garage Experience and your seats in the stands all through the race through the tunnel.

Hi all,
Heading to Birmingham this April (2020) and am looking at taking my father to Talladega for Saturday qualifying/race. We went to the Indy 500 four years ago and it was quite overwhelming for him at age 74 (heat, walking etc).
I was wondering on crowd size comparisons between the Saturday and Sunday and if access/parking is easier on the Saturday?
Any advice would be appreciated

First timers going Sunday I’ve got a bad back makes walking painful. Are the shuttles reliable? Is preferred parking better to reduce walking? Any tips?

There are shuttles which tend to be in the vicinity you are instructed to park in. I've been lucky in this regard at Vegas and Phoenix. I can sympathize with you on the pain you're experiencing, as I also have this same problem. Preferred parking is available if cost is not an option.

1st timers for Dega. We are in the Green section with a camper. Any suggestions for us as a 1st time camper at this track. Been to Daytona, Charlotte etc, so not new to the infield!
