Please read the previous review...all 5 star ratings that I ditto!. There is not one thing I would change about this very enjoyable and informative tour. Having an interest in ecosystems, the Delta, plant and wildlife, and being an avid amateur photographer, I found that Jimbo was the perfect person to address and accommodate all of those interests. Jimbo's vast knowledge along with his humble and gentle sense of humor made this journey outstanding. A fun side note: ask him about the role he played for the Tom Hanks' Forrest Gump character :)…

Small boat tour, maximum 6 people plus Jimbo Meador, the renowned naturalist. 2 hours in a biodiverse ecosystem that is like no other. Jimbo knows the history, the flora, the fauna and can focus the tour in any way you choose. 2 hours just whets the appetite. This is a tour I could take again and again, and be assured of a different wonderful experience every time. Wear sunscreen and hat. Take binoculars and camera.…

My mom and I thought that this would be an interesting boat trip after reading an article in the New York Times about Jimbo and the American lotus blooming in the Mobile Delta. We went at the wrong time of the year to see the lotus flowers blooming, and the tour was fascinating even without them. There is so much more plant life there than the lotus flowers. During the tour, Jimbo answered our questions about the weather, the wildlife, the plants, the ecology of the delta and everything else we asked about. He knows everything about the delta, he’s been all over the world, and he has good stories! The delta is gorgeous. The birds there are beautiful and Jimbo got us so close to them. We did this tour as a side trip from Florida, but it would be worth It to go to Mobile just to see the delta.…
