This bar is a gem on the bund with its spectacular roof top view of the skyscrapers in Pudong. The extensive terrace almost serves as the eipcenter of the Bund - or at least thats the feeling one gets. I would definately recommend a visit, but do bring your best credit card.

Nice view, nice people, quite expensive drinks though. Overall nice atmosphere, better to enter before 11pm to avoid entrance fees.

The bar rouge is a great bar in Shanghai offering a nice terrace with a awesome view on the skyline across the river. Drinks were good, people were from all around the world and everyone seemed to have good time. Overall a nice place. Will go there again, when I'm in Shanghai for the next time

The view is absolutely stunning with very chill vibes. However, the service is quite slow on busy days, typically on weekends.

Bar Rouge provides an amazing view of the Shanghai skyline. Cover charge to get in and drinks are at a price you come to expect in the Bund. Great pre or post dinner venue.

Staying in The Bund

Neighborhood Profile
The Bund
While there are certainly many other “bunds” in the world, “the Bund” refers to Shanghai’s famous waterfront. The area’s Gothic, Art Deco and Beaux Arts monoliths were built when it was part of the Shanghai International Settlement run by the British and Americans. The atmosphere of colonial-era luxury has endured over time and is now found in the five-star hotels, luxury brand boutiques and expensive restaurants that can be found within the historic buildings. A cultural center has built up away from the water and some of Shanghai’s best art galleries and museums are housed close to the Bund. Nighttime views of Pudong and the rest of the city also make for a great backdrop at the many rooftop clubs.
