Be careful - cheaters!!!

Unfortunately we had very bad experience with a ricksha driver. We walked to our hotel at night and a ricksha driver stopped by and offered us a ride. We where about 1,5 km far from our hotel, we agreed on a prize which was 70 RMB - (more expensive then taxi ride) but we decided to try. The driver went with us much longer way then the hotel actually was. It looked like he could not find our hotel... finally when we saw our hotel in distance his vehicle stopped to work. We decided to walk the rest way to our hotel. We payed the guy 70 RMB. But the driver told us it was 70 per each (we where 2 of us) and wanted more money. When we refused he accused us that he broke his vehicle because of us, grabbed my husband's hand and threatened to beat him.... be careful this ricksha driver was a cheater!

disappointment

I was thrilled to see the old street, unfortunately there was not much to look at.
Riding around in Rickshaw was ok, only the the driver forcibly asked us for a tip besides the fare. He got angry at our 20Yuan tip and even called some other drivers to come to us.
..and we thought tip was supposedly voluntary...

Rickshaw Ride
Sep 2013 • Couples
I guess everyone has to have a Rickshaw ride when in China, right? We had one around The Bund area in Shanghai. Interesting without being amazing. Stopped at a locals house and was entertained by their 5 year old daughter…very cute.
