Great Way to Relax
Jan 2020 • Solo
Loved it! The place was so calm and peaceful. I went to relax and detox after a crazy night out and before a 14 hour flight. The staff was very accommodating to this English speaker and the baths were phenomenal. The massage I had was a bit shorter than I'd like, but still very nice! Highly recommend!! Could see myself spending a whole day there.

Really nice Spa
Nov 2019 • Couples
You will definitely enjoy if you like Spa! Just be aware that there is 2 section - one is man only or women only and one is mix one - nobody didnt speak english so you need to explore a bit. Mix part have cold (crio) sauna and some hot saunas...

Also - we had a problem with paying - europian credit cards do not work proprerly (it went tru after 4th try) so prepare cash is my advice

Loud music
Dec 2019 • Solo
Very nice spa facilities, many pools, two sauna rooms, body scrub at the wet area. Also massage. Maybe food too but never tried. But whose idea was loud music at the locker room area?

It was not bad because the most important thing for me it has to be clean. It’s clean but you have to walk everywhere without slippers which is not really nice especially if you are going to take a shower and someone on your way is taking shower with a lot is shampoo.. you step on the water coming from someone’s body... you get me ..? Than they have a small towel really small and you can take only one after shower . Of course I didn’t hear them I took as much as I need. Everyone is naked there and you can’t cover you body with this small towel )) that is weird for me because I used to visited GuangZhou Nanmei spa which is perfect and compare with this kind of sauna is totally different(there everything including sure The price is two times higher but ... you know for what you pay). Ok. You can take a rest after sauna they have restaurant which is not free .. next time I don’t mind to visit again this place but I will try to find another one . they also don’t accept foreigners if they want to spend night there

Misleading
Apr 2019 • Business
Hours posted are 24 hours on all sites, but upon arrival staff says cannot spend night. I have a hotel and had no desire to sleep, only wanted to relax after long work day. Very disappointed.

All you need to know about New Star
Dec 2018 • Friends
It’s great combination of saunas (Korean & Japanese style) with entertainment for the whole family all way to little kids. This totally new concept for me has been an amazing experience (well 6 years ago) closest to actual Finnish sauna. Normally it’s 108 rmb but better look from dianping to get it cheaper.

How to buy inside: you will be given a bracelet that is acting as money during your stay. Inside and in common room.

Location: on of the closest to city centre this convenient. Access with line 3 and 4 west Yan’an road)

Service: all staff is trained very well.

Sauna and pools: Both men and women have their own sides. Kids can access till 5 years old to either side.
Inside they have variations of pools: 2 cold 23c & 15c, 3 hot(32,38 & 42), 1 ginsen herb bath and 1 rose bath. Also they have Finnish style sauna room and Turkish style steam room.

Common room: one can spend loads of time in here with the family or by yourself. They have neighbors relaxing area restaurant and with the Korean style restaurant and lots of computers as well as snacks and drinks.

Payment: once you go out you can pay with cash, card, alipay, wechat pay and credit card.

Even though it’s not the best Sauna in Shanghai, but it’s the most easiest and acceptable from downtown.

A uniquely Korean experience
Nov 2018 • Solo
As a North American Chinese, I visited this so-called Korean bathhouse franchise for the first time. I went to the Pudong location (note: this entry is for Tianshan Rd), but I imagine the experience is similar. Got there at 10pm on a Tuesday night, not too busy.

Quick rundown of routine: you're asked to take your shoes off immediately, exchange for a pre-assigned locker key with a chain that goes around your wrist (don't lose this).
You're asked to register at the desk if you want to stay past midnight or stay overnight at their hotel, which I didn't opt for. The friendly staff kept warning me about cops checking for registration. I speak fluent Mandarin but still couldn't understand what he said due to use of dialect and his accent, more later.

I proceeded downstairs to the wet change rooms, stripped down to nothing, took a shower and jump in. No shorts allowed. There were a few tubs with varying temperatures, one steam room, one dry saune, and a massage area at the back which is visible from the tub area. I did not get a chance to try the massage because of time. There were 3 or 4 naked masseurs noisily rubbing down and slapping on the customers. Everyone was having a great time! To the side, there were standup showers and sitdown showers. Every guy I met was super friendly, all Asians, all adults, young and old, no kids. Cleanliness top notch, you can tell they tried hard. There was a staff hosing and scrubbing down one of the tubs. Quite a scene to watch someone cleaning so hard in the buff, so no exceptions to the "rule".

After you're all dried, they give you a nice pajamas set (one size fits all) to put on to go upstairs, so don't get too used to being so free and forget and walk out to the public area. I decided to try their Korean restaurant on the ground floor which I got to in time before the kitchen stopped serving at 1130pm. Big menu with pictures and reasonable prices, cheap beer too. I checked out the 2nd floor which had the hot room, the cold room, the relaxation cubby holes, the super-oxygenated room, the co-ed massage area, lounge area, but not the outdoor pool since it was dark and closed.

You pay once when you leave. Everything you spent on top of the entrance fee (RMB 98) such as food, snacks, massages, etc are added to your locker account (mine came to 200RMB). On my way out at midnight, two uniformed cops came in, and had a clipboard full of names, and started proceeding down the change area with their blue "booties". I would have loved to see how the scene unfolded but really had to leave. I imagine they barged in and started busting the guilty men one by one, stood them in a line-up and whipped their bottoms. Nobody said I can't have some fun with tripadvisor reviews.

Have fun and enjoy. Go with some coworkers and you'll never work with them the same way again.

Ultimate Relaxation!
Mar 2018 • Solo
I live in Shanghai (Expat-USA) and will only come here to experience the best full service Korean Spa in Shanghai. The Spa has a separate Men’s and Women’s bathing area, consisting of sauna/steam room, lap pool and 3 different large jacuzzis / you can also get a full body massage and Korean “body” scrub skin down at a reasonable rate. They also have a full service cafe and Korean restaurant on site. Entrance fee for use of facilities only is $108 RMB. Anything else is extra.

Ok Korean spa
Nov 2017 • Couples
I visited in Nov 2017. Entrance fees is RMB 108. The male sauna area, in my opinion is not very large. It is well maintained.

The English translation of the Mandarin words (I suspect) is inaccurate. When using the scrub back service, I was asked to choose from the menu "what material I want to use for the scrub". I said salt. During the treatment, I was offered "additional ingredients". I was told is included.

Later after the scrub, I was charged for the scrub (RMB 78) and three ingredients (RMB 58 each). So, take note the scrub and ingredients are priced separately.
