Neighborhood: People’s Square

People’s Square brings with it all the excitement you would expect from the town square of one of the biggest cities in the world. The area around People’s Square and People’s Park is always a abuzz with activity. Oceans of local and foreign tourists flow in and out of the area every day to see grand museums, go shopping and eat at some of Shanghai’s most storied food centers. Shanghai residents, meanwhile, live and work in the many residential and office high-rises. This mall or building is basically a lane crawford department store from hong kong. Has all the luxury brands similar to the hong kong location. With poor service, they didn’t allow me to take pictures. They need the publicity though, this store is deadly quiet. A smattering of restaurants on the other floors

Nothing interesting for us. We ate at Deli & Leisure; nice food. Mall was quiet and boring. However, as it is located along middle Huaihai Road, it is lovely to be able to walk along the street. Thank goodness for its great location.

Centre of Attraction in the area.

Times Square was nearby the hotel we were staying and was gearing up to become the focal point for the New Years Eve celebrations in this part of town.

There were many places to shop and eat around this area. I took lots of pics to place on here to share with everyone, but not all of them i can translate into English. hehe

At night time, it is quite lively and nice area to stroll around and shop and eat.

Modern shopping mall and service apartments

I live in Times Square Apartments and enjoy the convenience of Lane Crawford shopping mall, restaurants, movie theater and City Super supermarket. This is as downtown as you can get in the famous Huai Hai Middel Road in Shanghai.

Luxurious Expensive Mall

One of those many luxurious but empty malls where you'll find every big commercial luxurious brand like Gucci, Armani, Calvin klein, etc. Top floor has some very nice, but also very expensive restaurants. Not a cosy place, but more for the elite to buy their expenive brands

Brilliant

Very good shopping centre. The city shop in the basement is very good and had a fine selection of western food. Good parking facility.
