Happened upon this building many years ago and it's about 5 floors of just random wholesale junk - basement is stationary, then party supplies and gift wrap, jewellery, toys, makeup, bags...you'll definately find some gems and prices are so low you don't really need to haggle.
My top finds here have been;

- Japanese pens and stationary that TopShop Concessions/Muji would sell
- Kate Spade accessories
- Super cheap makeup and Chinese products just to bring back as funny gifts (eyebrow pencils, eyeliner, face masks, all great quality!)
- Cheap and VERY unique sunnies
- Best selection of random water bottles

It's excellent for a rainy Shanghai day and gift yourself lots of time to browse and dig for treasures!

Who is it for? This place is for people who like good bargains, knick knacks, odd stuff and flea markets. It's like a permanent flea market ... you don't know what "treasures" you'll find there. Which is why the missus and I found it so interesting browsing the shops around. Our greatest regret was that we didn't set aside enough time - we had only an hour and managed to clear just 2 levels out of 5.

As one reviewer said, this is not a knock-off place ... unlike AP Plaza. You do find the occasional copy goods but not many. Prices are very reasonable (actually cheap!) for many things. Missus got 3 leggings for 10 yuan!!! There's no particular order to the shops - they're quite random. The photos will show the variety of stuff that you can find there. Here's wishing you happy treasure hunting!!

TIP: You get off at Yuyuan Garden Station, Line 2, Exit 4. Plan it together with your visit to Yu Garden, Yuyuan Old Street and the surrounding alleys and shops. It's along the way there, so you kill 2 birds with a stone.

Lots of shops packed into a shopping mall. Sells stuffs from toys to bags. A good place to shop if you can speak Chinese. Asking price is reasonable, and they can offer some discounts if you are really keen. This is just next to the Yuyuan metro station and you will not miss it on your way to Yu Yuan.

This is not a knock off market by any means. I only happened in here by accident but it was where I bought gifts for both my kids very cheaply and the quoted prices were so good I didn't even need to haggle. The top floor is almost entirely bags and luggage yet we got better prices in Hongqiao after haggling. For me as a foreigner who can bargain in Chinese it was easy to manage and they can always use the good old universal translator (calculator). If you're near YuYuan garden or on your way to the shopping streets nearby stop in for some local culture and maybe find a trinket or inexpensive remote control helicopter to take home.
