Only 50% shops!
Dec 2020 • Couples
The mall was bustling with people! However only 50% shops are operating. They have some fancy restaurants there. 9th floor, there is a restaurant where you can have a fantastic view of the Huangpu River and the Bund. From this mall, you can walk out to the riverside waterfront where there are more restaurants and cafes. Great place to hang out!

Disappointing
Aug 2020
Disappointing. At one time this mall was bustling busy full of life, now it's a shadow of its former self. People still at doors literally picking & choosing who must sign-in and register, an unwarranted task considering everyone is not required to sign-in. Will not be back as too many other malls in the city want customers & their business. Good luck Super Brand Mall.

Side note: Our lunch at Lokal was fairly priced (set menu option), fresh and tasty. Order taking process was very slow due to only 1 cashier, but the cashier was fabulous with all the customers.

The food court is a good place to have lunch
Oct 2019
After taking the Waitan Sightseeing Tunnel from The Bund, we walked over to the Super Brand Mall to see what a Chinese Shopping Mall was like and to look for lunch. We had read that since street food vendors had been outlawed in Shanghai that mall food courts were good choices to try the different foods of Shanghai. Although the Mall is basically like an American Shopping Mall (but huge), the food court was a great choice for our first non-hotel meal in Shanghai.

No cash is allowed at each vendor, you have to purchase a debit card at a central point and use it to make your food purchases. At the end of your purchases you can get whatever is left on the card back in Yuan at the same central cashier. We had Peking/Beijing Duck, steamed and fried dumplings and beef noodle soups and found it all so new and amazing.

Although the Mall was basically like a Western Shopping Mall we can recommend the food court for the selection and the fun hustle and bustle, especially when you are there on a weekday lunch eating with all the working people of Shanghai. The displays in the stores are very artistic and in some cases beautiful.

If you are on the Pudong side looking at the Pedestrian walkway around the Pearl communication tower and the Shanghai Disney Store, it is not a bad place to go walk around and have a bite to eat.

In the mood for high end shopping?
Jan 2020
Every top shelf name brand to be found here. I usually go for the same reason as everyone else there, people watching. It is right across from Pearl Tower and a fun time, I recommend finding any of the upper floor restaurants. Any and all are well kept and good eats.

A huge mall but a lot of shops have closed
Nov 2019 • Family
We visited this mall after coming across from The Bund. It is within walking distance from the Bund sightseeing tunnel exit.

This is a huge mall but sadly quite a number of shops, I think approx 40% of the complex are closed. Most of the restaurants are at the upper floors and there are a wide variety to choose from. The restaurants can be crowded during lunch time. Therefore if you are there for lunch, its advisable to eat before 12.30 pm.

From my observation the prices at the shops are reasonable and worth browsing thru.

I believe the opening of the more upscale IFC mall has taken the crowd and also some of the high end brands away from this mall.

All glitz and no substance

Many many shops closed. Not really worth the time. But interesting to walk through from pearl tower to waterfront.

Don’t bother here for shopping. Won’t go back

Mega mall but many shops are closed/renovating
Nov 2019
We were surprised to see that many shops in this mall are closed due to renovation. As a results, the mall was even quieter on a weekday afternoon. Therefore, you may want to wait till all the shops are fully opened before coming here.

Skateboard Chicken at The Super Brand Mall
Oct 2019 • Friends
25th October 2019, my friend and I was walking pass Skateboard Chicken at The Super Brand Mall in Shanghai after dinner and a very friendly lady named He Ping invited us to the restaurant to try out their food. We told her we just had our dinner and she told us with a very sweet smile, you can come back tomorrow.
We went back the next day for lunch and to our surprised the meal was free for the first 5 customers as they are having promotion since they have just opened less then one month. We decided it's not nice just to eat for free so we ordered two drinks and was told it's free too. But we like to pay for something, then we ordered a fruits salad bowl which is so yummy. The main course and drinks are really yummy too NOT because it's free. He Ping is very friendly, attentive and serve us very well. Her company is so blessed to have her running the restaurant, she not only work very hard, she works like it's her restaurant. Thanks He Ping, will patronize your restaurant when I visit Shanghai again and I have told friends about Skateboard Chicken in Shanghai.

Good for food and sports clothing - try the dumplings!
Oct 2019
Enormous shopping mall, pretty much all brands of casual/sport clothes (Nike, Puma, Converse, ...). And loads of restaurants. No electronics, but a general store hidden on the bottom floor. On the last floor there is also a dumpling restaurant which i highly recommend. They dont speak a word of english (and are not very interested in trying to either) but the dumplings are awesome!

Run down and empty shops
Jul 2019 • Family
Disappointing- so many empty shops. Worth a visit to see how huge it is, but not that impressive with so many empty. Difficult lay out, bit of a labyrinth!
