Lovely place. Beautifully decorated for Christmas. Friendly staff. We had English tea. Yummy. Cakes were delicious. Great place to have a meal.

Beautiful cafe, the outside space is amazing and quiet. Great for a romantic date or just hanging with friends.

Best ¥60 orange cordial err..tea in Shanghai

Beautiful, quaint place. Don't bother with the tea... seriously questioned its legitimacy, but happy to report the wine and beer are not poison.

Outstanding

Shanghai is excellent, but let's face it the new money and plethora of ex-pat yahoos does get old. Antique Garden is an oasis of charm and character. I had the Shanghai Shada, extremely refreshing afternoon drink. In my many ways I felt I was home (in New Orleans) while spending the afternoon in the Antique Garden.

Nice place to chill out
Nov 2017 • Couples
During our last visit, we have found Antique Garden by coincidence.
It is located at Sinan road in French Concession. We love the interior as you will find a piece of old Shanghai there.
The Antique Garden has two floors: downstairs is cup and cake / cafe and tea room, upstairs is a cocktail bar. Apparently the well-known Taste Buds has just move here, make sure you try out one of the cocktails mixed by the star barrister Daniel An!
We have had a good time there, the outside garten area is just perfect place to chill out in a beautiful sunny autumn afternoon.

Hidden Treasure!
Nov 2016 • Friends
We found this cafe in just walking around Shanghai! The Sunday brunch is delicious and affordable, and must have the orange juice definitely freshly squeezed. Really a hidden treasure in Shanghai. Inside dining takes you back in time, the outdoor dinning is super cute and cozy!

Sublime afternoon tea!!
Jan 2015 • Couples
Stroll in...marvel at the unchanged 19th century ambience and furniture and settle down upstairs for an afternoon high tea, which includes real Chinese tea of your choice and a 3 tier tray of little delights to go with it. We took the balcony overlooking the street and marvelled at all the new money and chauffeurs etc. milling around in the Old French Concession.
A nice way to kill an hour as part of the COncession tour or a wider walk around Central Shanghai.

Great. Perfect to cool down and relax.
Altough the correct name is "antique cafe" it is indeed wonderfull. Interior is packed with antique furniture well arranged. We find it very cosy and relaxing. Its. certanly cool enough but not like a fridge like in most places. There are fans to give you a breeze. The garden or terrace looked nice but we chose to sit inside. The tea is great. Just dont forget to order a chocolate cake. The best we have found in China so far. Great place to read, talk or blog. The place has free wifi.
