Coffe Bean(Xintiandi)
The area
Neighborhood: Xintiandi
The refurbishment of a block of old shikumen into a carless entertainment center called Xintiandi, filled with restaurants, shops and bars, turned this area below South Huangpi Road into one of Shanghai’s most fashionable areas. Luxe condos house people who can afford the high-end brands that fill the malls and shops along Madang Road. The pleasant Taipinghu Park provides the area with green space and is also home to Shanghai Fashion Week twice a year. It’s not all glitter and glamour, though, as the rise of Danshui Road has given the Xintiandi area a shot of toned-down character. Small bars and cafes, mostly owned by locals, have people hanging out in a formerly quiet, unassuming part of the neighborhood.
How to get there
  • South Huangpi Road • 3 min walk

a garbage collector to pollute our world
Apr 2014 • Couples
I have been there once and will never come back. The location is great because no cars and dirty noise, good to look at fancy people or tourist walking around.

But no service at all, very rude waiter and cashiers, they are not happy at all with their job obviously, and with all empty paper/plasitc cups standing on the tables, a dirty environment without service to clean the tables, i really could not stand it.

The Tea milk was coming from the tube of a factory, too much sugar and tastes like chemical, but the biggest shame that they dont have any normal glass to serve their drinks, they prefer to waste their paper/plastic cup all over the tables. This is a shame to prefer to pollute instead to use normal glasses.

Insane Chinese consuming society, just to spare the cost of staff cleaning the glasses, the decadence of a company and a consuming polluting society.

Please boycott them in the name of world's nature! Till they have proper glasses and use the plastic/paper cup ONLY FOR TAKE AWAY.

Decent coffee and atmosphere.

Have been to this particular coffee shop several times when in Shanghai and always had decent coffee . A lot of the time it has been busy but still good relaxing atmosphere and have managed to find a lounger type seat easy enough . Yes there is internet access and good range of coffees and stuff to eat with it. Usually service both in taking order and time to prepare is great, except on one visit when the staff seemed in a bit of disarray and all the orders were getting mixed up .... Worth it if you want to kick back and relax after a few hours of " breaking the bank " in some of the shops nearby or after walking around the area .

Big Coffee House in Xintiandi
Its just like a Coffee House as Starbucks.Self Service. cakes, Coffee, Choko drinks, Fre Wifi (with registration), comfortable season. But is always very crowded. Many Young people hangig around there and chatting with their smartphones. The Coffe Mugs looks like Bavarian Beer Mugs (Weissbiergläser). BUt always a good place for reaxing 30 mins if you get a seat. You can also collect Beans and then get some gadgets free.
