I went twice to get massages and the best was the traditional Chinese massage for 90 min. I was very sore on my lower back and shoulders from traveling and carrying luggage. etc. I thought that it was strange he spent so much time on my head, but the next day all of my pain was gone!

Good place, very nice, the service is great they even offer you some desserts at the end.
Tip: be very careful that the person who is giving you the massage is totally awake! my experience at the beginning of the massage was excellent but at the end the girl felt asleep like 4 times and she hit me with her head on my head... I informed the manager and she just said: thanks for letting us know! nothing else not even "we are sorry". For the price I paid at least I expected "we are sorry please come back for a free foot massage" jajaja

Rating a massage is obviously highly subjective and personal. That said, I just returned from a 90 minute traditional Chinese massage that I thought was outstanding and possibly one of my best massages ever. It was a very firm massage that really dug deep into my muscles - the way I like it. I just walked in to inquire about availability and price and they had time immediately. Elisa was my therapist and she spoke passable English. She did ask for feedback about the pressure she applied. The facility is clean and classy looking. You are given a locker to leave your clothes and some pajamas to change into. With the traditional Chinese massage, these pajamas are left on and the massage given through the clothes - not what I was expecting, but it worked out just fine.

No customer service! No work ethics! After you buy the card, they won’t deliver the same work anymore. Only thing they do is to keep on asking extra money for the same amount of work. Extra for neck and head, extra legs! So just don’t go there at the first place. Plus the receptionist Cindy will only laugh at you and you complain.

I think it is only proper that a massage therapist listens to the clients instructions about areas that are tender or areas that need work. Clearly the client is irrelevant at Green Massage, however. I have never left in the middle of a massage before, but I left this place 60 minutes in to a 135 minute treatment. That's how bad it was. I told the male masseuse REPEATEDLY that I had an injury and that he was being too rough. He didn't care or adjust his technique to my body's signals (flinching, tensing, etc.) or my verbal remarks(ouch!), he just kept on with the programmed massage. It was not a seamless, flowing experience either. He left the room twice in the time I was there. Once he returned with tea for me. I don't want to stop and drink tea in the middle of a massage session. WTH was that?!? I was also told to wear pants and a jacket-thing that were two sizes too small. No oil for me obviously. The following day I was very sore and bruised. And even though I was clearly unhappy and left halfway through the appointment, they still charged me full price! Only thing girl at the reception desk kept saying was "so sorry" as she ran my credit card. Worst massage ever.

Its very common problem in mainland China and Hong Kong.
Be aware of this place. Pay only cash!

After reading all the reviews on TripAdvisor, I went to Green Massage with quite high expectations, given the fact that it ain't the cheapest one.
I've chosen 120minutes Oil Body Massage. Initially it was quite OK, however after about an hour the lady who did massage started to feeling either bored or tired. She barely applied any pressure at all (compared to what she did at the beginning), she was also constantly yawning which I find to be ridiculous for a place at that price.
After exactly 120 minutes she told me "Time is over, sorry" and immediately left.
PROS:
- Clean
- Good location ( I went to Shanghai World Finance Center )
CONS:
- Expensive (I've paid 108 euros for 120 minutes of Oil Massage)
- Low quality of massage compared to other places I've been

I get massages at least once a week and had been going here for the past 3 years in Shanghai. They used to be good, but over the past month their service started to get worse. Staff is still very friendly, but they've lost all their massaging talents and increased their prices by more than 30%, leaving us customers with a huge disappointment. I unfortunately renewed my membership card by paying a large deposit in order to get a discount to only find out now they 1.)do not honor their previous prices, 2.) have less experienced staff that don't know how to find the pressure points. I wasn't even notified as a long time customer and card member that they changed their prices. They have cheated me out of 3,000 CNY, so others beware! There are much better options in Shanghai for far less $$!! However, if you like paying more money for much less service and satisfaction, this isn't a bad place to go.

We went to Green Massage without appointment and signed up for a 90-minute (RMB522) Head+Neck+Shoulder+Back+Four Limbs massage for which we got an appointment 1.5 hours later.
The staff were very friendly and professional but we weren't offered any of the tea and lovely cake on display at reception. Would have been nice. We were, however, asked to choose from one of the 4 oils they had on offer for the massage.
The massage took place in a nicely dimmed and air-conditioned room and started with a foot washing and a cup of herbal tea. Very relaxing.
We were asked to change into the spa clothes which were clean and comfortable.
The massage was very good and relaxing, I actually fell asleep at some point. My boyfriend found it a bit too intense sometimes but that's probably up to the masseur. They asked if I was ok with the intensity level.
It was discreet and professional and in the end I wished I had gone for the 120 minute version of the massage. We both felt super refreshed after this experience.
I would definitely recommend this place!

After a few days of touring around Shanghai with a heavy backpack, I stumbled upon Green Massage on floor 3 of the Shanghai World Financial Center. It looked so nice that I was worried about the price being too high. However, I got a package that was pricier than my normal massages, but not too bad: around 220RMB for 2 hours and 15 minutes of traditional Chinese massage (head, back, feet, 4 limbs.) Danny, my masseuse, was OK with feet, but absolutely incredible at back and legs. He was excellent at figuring out the sore spots and realigning my spine, and I felt like I was walking on air that day AND the next! The atmosphere was so clean, relaxing and aesthetically pleasing. Overall the aromatherapy massages seem to be over-priced, but if you stick with traditional packages it's a reasonable deal for an incredible massage. I had to leave an extra tip I felt so good.
