Fangsheng Bridge (meaning Setting-fish-free Bridge) is the longest, largest and tallest stone bridge, in Zhujiajiao Ancient Town crossing Pearl Stream. Built in 1571 the bridge stands a stone tablet named Dragon Gate Stone, which is engraved with 8 coiling dragons encircling a shining pearl. On top of the bridge there are 4 lifelike stone lions. It is a marvelous old bridge and one not to be missed.

While at the Zhujiajiao water village, make sure you get pictures of this bridge. I was on a gondola ride and was able to get a couple of nice pictures. I was unable to go on the bridge, but I think it's better to take pictures from the gondola.

A delightful bridge, but at the end of the day that is all it is, a bridge.

Gets very busy during peak travel times, and police use loud hailers to encourage people not to stop, which is silly as everyone wants a picture on or from the bridge

This bridge is in the middle of the Zhujiajiao water village, linking the two sides of the main waterway. It is a medieval bridge used only by pedestrians and best seen from one of the many gondolas that ply the river.

Our group had the opportunity to see this bridge during our boat ride up the canal when we visited the Ancient Town. I was lucky enough to snap a picture of this bridge where all 5 arches were reflected in the water to make 5 circles as we neared the bridge. The bridge was busy both while we passed under as well as later as we passed over the bridge. You can get some great shots of the canal from the top of the bridge.

“Fang Sheng Bridge”, an almost-perfect circle of reflection in the water from the bridge arches. A single arched bridge with a perfect reflection like this is known as a” Moon Bridge”, very popular in traditional Chinese formal gardens

This is the most well-known bridge in the ancient city. I was fortunate to be there when there was hardly anyone around. Great area to take pictures of the town.
