I visited Changfeng Park with some friends in July 2017. It's nice enough although definitely in need of some love, the amusement rides area looks like it hasn't been open for several years! It is nice to walk around the water though. Recommended for walks.

Compares well with the Lujiazui ocean aquarium. Issue is the long queue in the hot weather.

There is a seal & beluga whales performance which isn't too bad and also a underground area with tunnel to sea the ocean fish and sharks swimming around. Feeding time is 2:00pm for the sharks. You can also take a small glass bottom boat for an 40 CNY. I think the ticket price is 140 CNY which is a little cheaper than the lujiazui ocean aquarium.

Lastly, we took the subway to weining road and then a taxi to the ocean park. Nice food shops near the subway station too.

The Park is beautiful and big enough to have a nice walk in. It is right beside the Jackie Chan Film Museum. Once you enter the park go to your left to buy tickets for the various shows inside. The entrance to the park itself is free. They have a Seal and Beluga Whale show which is one of the main attractions inside the park, but apart from the excitement of seeing the amazing animals up close it is not that impressive as far as performance goes. There is an aquarium which houses sharks and other fishes and animals and it is pretty standard in terms of things you can see. They do have shark feeding and other smaller shows that you can see but we didn't go during the showtimes. If you have kids with you then they will surely enjoy seeing everything on offer. Overall, if you have a few extra days to kill in Shanghai you can visit, otherwise it's not a must-visit.

Its a great park for some downtime with the family! Great for walks or bikes. Theres an aquarium for little ones, green areas, playgrounds, and you can rent little boats. We had a great time as a day away from craziness and busy line ups.

During my visit to Shanghai last week, I spend a few hours at this beautiful park. once at night and once during the day. I enjoyed my walk both times. It is a beautiful and peaceful park with many pretty trees and flowers. It has a nice lake that offers rental boats to sail over the lake. It also has a fishing lake and many picnic ares for families. You can walk in the park for many hours and enjoy the beautiful nature. It is also very pretty at night with so many colorful lights, which makes the trees and passages very interesting. I highly recommend to visit the Changfeng Park when you are in Shanghai.

Please do not support watching animals in captivity, no matter how great the shows are. its so harmful to the animals health.

We were recommended this park by our local driver and we thoroughly enjoy it, a very pleasant green escape from otherwise concrete city. The park has 4 entrance gates and admission is free. Our 10 yr old was very pleased to see there are boats which you can hire (deposit 100 rmb & cost is 69 rmb for hour hire). The boats felt very safe and driven by a small motor, life jackets are available if you require but everyone on the lake were grandparents with small children at the steering wheel. It is a large lake and very nice to navigate around a see all the Chinese life going on....tai chi, dancing, singing, bands playing and families enjoying a stroll. There is a children's amusement area but aimed mainly at under 8's and we didn't try any of the rides. There is also the Beluga show and aquarium available. There isn't a children's playground which my son was disappointed about but there are a few dilapidated kiosks selling ice creams and random toddler toys/balloons...no decent place for snack/meal or coffee either. Overall the landscaping was very nice and well maintained, very clean and family orientated. A free activity in Shanghai gets the thumbs up from us.

This park is perhaps not that popular among foreigners. Lot of local families and elderly do visit typically.

Park entrance is free, but you need to pay extra e.g. for boats and fishing. Park does have also Oceanworld within it. Jogging or walking around is convenient. Changfeng park is not fancy by any means, but park fulfill its function.

# If you like fishing then you can do it here in urban environment. Angling is allowed in southwestern corner. 4 hours cost RMB 20. Also RMB 100 is taken as mandatory deposit, but that will be returned when you leave. No catch and release allowed! You must take fishes up and pay for those. They have several carp fishes in the pond (silver carps are biggest what I saw). Crucian carps we much smaller (I'd say 400 to 900 grams). Silver carps here can be 2-3 kg in weight.

Nice spot to "leave" the city for a short while. There is a small hill which is worthwhile climbing, a big lake as well as entertainment for kids.
