This is a great performing arts center, with several different halls. I have seen several performances here of several international artists. The Shanghai Symphony Hall has incredible acoustics and comfortable seating for 1200. All seats have excellent views. Modern design with great public spaces and easy to get her by walking or public transportation.

One of the top Performing concert Hall in China or in the world. We were just get mesmerizing by this beautiful butterfly orchid shape building. It is so cool that there are 5 different concert halls in this building; Concert, Entrance, Performance, Opera and Exhibition Halls which make this building stands up for their shape. At night time it is... More

I have visited this venue on many occasions and have never thought to search it here to leave any feedback. First, It's called the Oriental Art Center but -- i have only seen western performers, performing western things here.. Maybe I should look and see what Oriental performances are offered. I first started buying the highest price seats because I... More

My first visit to this venue I like to visit concert halls around the world on my travels to see a local show and I can highly recommend. We purchased our 80 RMB $16 Australian dollar tickets these were the most expensive but I don't think you would get a bad seat anywhere you selected. We purchased our tickets mid... More

Not much is wrong with Pudong's concert and opera house. Just two trifles come to mind: the name is misleading. I have been there often, to maybe a dozen or more performances, from Anne-Sophie Mutter to more local stars like the Shanghai Symphonic Orchestra. I have never been there for 'oriental art'. Another: the place is too far out. Maybe... More

I have now been to this lovely center many times and rate it exteremely highly in all respects . The concert hall is a modern design with the audience behind the stage as well as obviously in front. It is very comfortable which is also very important with good quality seating and yes space between the rows !!. Other facilities... More

Staying in Century Park

Neighborhood Profile
Century Park
Shanghai residents see Pudong’s suburbs as the place that grown-ups retreat to when they’re ready to settle down and stop living in the cramped confines of a refurbished lanehouse. The areas around Century Park are some of the most desirable as they are in close proximity to the Metro Lines, granting easy access to the heart of Puxi. The park itself is a huge draw, it’s one of Shanghai’s biggest and there are sports fields tucked into one of its corners, but five-star hotels, museums and great malls make life in the Century Park area easy for the homesick foreigner. And if living in a Western bubble in China isn’t your thing, there is plenty of local flavor to be had in between the major development. Some of Lujiazui’s futurism can also be seen in buildings and sculptures throughout the neighborhood as well.
