Beautiful park

Enjoyed my time alone just wandering around. I listened to my own music but you could probably find someone playing an instrument somewhere

Beautiful and clean!

So many trees! It’s clean and beautiful! When I come back to Shanghai, I will go here again! Many families enjoying the park. The view is beyond AMAZING! Wow. Perfect for photography. Don’t miss this park when you’re in Shanghai for the first time!

Stunning memorial
Jul 2019 • Couples
This is a beautiful memorial to walk around and it is currently lit up in red at night. Very striking and photogenic. Walk around the top, as well as going down the ramp to the bottom. Take a good look at the murals on the walls, so many stories there.

Relax and insta photo
Dec 2018 • Couples
Nice to stroll along here and take lots of photos. The path is popular with joggers and bikers. Nearby are also many little eateries. I particular enjoy the bund view and soak in the sight and feel of life.

Monument, Museum and Views
Oct 2018 • Solo
This park may have little greenery, but I thought it had other worthwhile elements. Located at the northern end of the Bund, it offers the massive Monument to the People's Heroes and spectacular views of the Pudong skyline. The Bund Historical Museum is here as well as the nearby Waibaidu (Garden) Bridge, China's first all-steel span. I found it fun to cross this connector behind newlyweds, preparing to have photos taken, and to look at the area's panorama from another angle.

This small space opened as China's first public park in 1886. But it actually was reserved for foreigners and closed to Chinese for about 40 years. Shaded benches provide an area to escape the hot sun, and I took advantage of one during my October visit. Flowers add a bit of color and there are a few grassy areas.

Runner's paradise
Apr 2018 • Solo
If you are an early morning runner, this place is amazing. Astro turf paths paired with amazing views and gardens. Definitely the best spot in town for some running!

Not much of a park, but good views
Mar 2018 • Couples
This "park" is at the end of the popular Bund area, so it is a good position for views across and down the river.

What a sight of light
Apr 2017 • Solo
A visit to Shanghai China should not miss a walk in the Huangpu Park at night where the lights in the financial district on the otherside of the river is completely amazing and with colorful river boats that serves dinner while cruising. Just make sure you watch your pocket as the place is really really packed in crowds and petty crime could not be avoided.
